Beaver Hall Equestrian Centre

Beaver Hall is in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands and on the doorstep to the Peak District National Park. We are the ideal base for exploring all this stunning area has to offer, with plenty of attractions, places of interest and things to entertain kids of all ages close by.

On site there are footpaths that crisscross our 80 acres; we also have a nature trail forming around the 12,000 trees that have been planted here. The Churnet Valley railway line borders us to the west and the steam and diesel trains are a popular sight with guests.

Hardstanding pitches overlook the horse paddocks and nature trail, further along you will find our camping field which overlooks the various farm animals, you can choose your own pitch anywhere on our open plan grass area. The camping field has access to cold water while pot-washing facilities are at the bottom of the caravan pitches next to the main entrance. You can collect hot water from the café and take your freezer packs there to be frozen. We currently have one shower, two permanent toilets and two portaloos. Don’t forget your torch for the midnight trip!

We have a play area with swings, a rope ladder, seesaw swing and goalposts - and the site has lots of open cut grass areas to play in too. The Lodge café serves home-cooked food and very tasty cakes; hot drinks are available to take away or you can choose anything from a snack to a full meal to enjoy as you dine in. Wifi is free in the café so the kids can catch up with the outside world!

Our site is within one of the country’s leading equestrian centres and has first-class facilities including The Hope Valley Saddlery Shop. Short pony rides are available for adults and children as are riding lessons (both must be pre-booked). Please note that for insurance purposes, riders must be over two years of age and weigh less than ten stone.

The farm park, which is £2 per person to enter, has an menagerie of farm animals which you can get up close to see. Meerkats, owls and a snake will visit at the weekends throughout the summer. Because of our nature trail, equestrian centre, farm park and café, we are always busy with a fantastic atmosphere at weekends and in the summer holidays, but when the sun is setting the site returns to its very peaceful setting, ensuring a restful night’s sleep for our guests.

Beaver Hall welcomes all: kids, dogs, grandparents and even horses if we have a stable available! Come and compete in the dressage or showjumping events held at the weekends.

The market town of Leek is only three miles away and is a wonderful place to visit, hosting weekly markets. It is famous for its Saturday antique market and Sunday Supplement held on the first Sunday of the month. Ashbourne, Buxton and Macclesfield are all within a 30-minute drive.
