General

Camping Pods - affordable accommodation, in a truly stunning Shropshire location.

Simple, comfy, spacious, secure accommodation for up to five people. A pod is a unique insulated wooden hut that provides basic accommodation, similar to a tent but more cosy and without the hassle!

All our pods are carpeted and have lighting, power sockets, an outside decking area and a heater. Facilities available on site include a modern shower and toilet block (including disabled facilities), washing up area, secure bike storage, cafe, pub/restaurant, bike shop and plenty of car parking space.

The Cafe is Open every Saturday and Sunday and weekdays at peak times, serving Breakfasts in the morning and fantastic snacks and cakes all afternoon.

We are a family-friendly site and children under the age of 6 stay for free.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Also located on site, this traditional Shropshire country pub is well-renowned in the local area for its excellent home-cooked food and friendly atmosphere. Open seven days a week, with the Superb Butcher's Shop and Grill night on Fridays and the ever-popular Sunday Carvery. Also offers a shop facility so you can buy meat, milk and bread and other essentials so you dont have to drive to the local town.

This is located on-site and offers Orange mountain bikes for hire, as well as a large test bike fleet from Santa Cruz, Orange, Mondraker and Scott. Also offering guided rides that if you are interested should be booked ahead.

This is located on-site and offers Orange mountain bikes for hire, as well as a large test bike fleet from Santa Cruz, Orange, Mondraker and Scott. The shop has a full range of parts, accessories and clothing from companies such as Hope, Endura, O Neal, Maxxis, DMR, Shimano, SRAM, Giro, The North Face, Endura and many more. A fully-equipped workshop with Cytech-trained mechanics provides servicing, safety checks and even custom builds, should you wish to spec your dream bike whilst on holiday!

The complete outdoor clothing and camping shop. Stocked full of top named brands like The North Face and Jack Wolfskin, if you have forgotten anything or need that extra layer then there is everything onsite for you.

The Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley
Part of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Long Mynd ("Long Mountain" in Welsh) covers approximately 22 square kilometers of heathland with stunning views, secluded valleys and abundant wildlife. It is largely owned by the National Trust and is a fantastic location for walking, cycling, gliding/paraliding, pony trekking and many other outdoor activities. Our campsite is located on the South-Eastern edge of the Mynd, giving excellent access to this outstanding countryside.

Acton Scott Historic Working Farm.
Acton Scott farm offers a fascinating insight into rural life at the turn of the 19th century and was used in filming for the BBC2 television programme, A Victorian Farm. With plenty to see and do for all the family, there are daily demonstrations of period skills and visits from the Wheelwright, Farrier and Blacksmith, providing a picture of life as it might have been on a Victorian country estate.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the Pitchup.com terms and conditions.

Additional terms

1. These terms and conditions apply to tents and pods.
2. When you wish to make a booking you will complete a booking (online via Pitchup.com). Once your booking has been accepted we will issue a confirmation. Until such time as the booking confirmation is issued the booking is not complete.
3. By making a booking request you warrant that you have the authority of all persons in your party to book on their behalf, you accept these terms and conditions and agree that you will indemnify Shropshire Camping & Pods against all loss and damage arising directly or indirectly from any act or default by yourself or any person or animal accompanying you.
4. Bookings are not transferable.
5. You must be over 18 years old to make a booking and to stay on site without other adults.
6. We cater for couples and families and do not accept bookings from groups with more than two adults.
7. We will try to ensure that all services and facilities connected with the site are available to you during your stay. If services and facilities are not available due to circumstances beyond our control no liability will attach to us and you will not be entitled to a refund.
8. We reserve the right to terminate your permission to stay on site immediately in the event that you or those in your party are in breach of these terms and conditions. In the event that permission to stay is terminated as a result of such breach no monies will be refunded to you.
9. Fees
a. Full payment is taken within seven days of booking.
b. In the event that you fail to make payment of the balance as indicated above your booking will be cancelled.
10. If you want to cancel a booking you must notify us in writing. If you cancel up to 28 days before the start date of your holiday your balance will be refunded to you in full and 50% will be refunded up to 14 days before. Should you cancel within 14 days of the start date of your holiday all monies will be lost. We strongly recommend that you take out your own cancellation insurance.
11. Monies will not be refunded in the event that some members of your group fail to arrive or you leave the site early whatever the circumstances.
12. The restaurant, bar and shop on site will not be open throughout the season. For details of opening times please see our website or contact us.
13. Pitches
a. Pitches are available from 2.00pm on the date of arrival and must be vacated by 12.00 noon on the date of departure.
b. The basic price of your pitch entitles you to locate one car and one tent.
c. We will try to allocate you the pitch of your choice but a particular pitch cannot be guaranteed and you will not be entitled to a refund in the event that we cannot allocate you your preferred pitch.
d. In the event that you decide that you wish to stay beyond booked dates we cannot guarantee that this will be possible nor can we guarantee that the same pitch will be available.
e. The number of people and dogs occupying each pitch must not exceed the number stated in the booking.
14. Personal belongings are your responsibility and we will not be liable for any personal belonging lost/damaged during your stay.
