In response to the latest review. My wife and i, have been staying at astbury falls for over a yr now.and have found a real gem in davids tranquil getaway. We have allways found david to be a trustworthy, genuine, honest GENTLEMAN.. we were down there last friday evening, at the aledged time the reviewer said that they encounted problems? We arrived at 5.15pm and started to set up. As allways within 10- 15 mins david came over to our van and we engaged in our ritual conversation. From politics to football and everything else. For anybody who has been lucky enough to have stayed at astbury before. Would know that this site is so tranquil and quiet. Ourselves and david engaged in normal conversation for well over an hour.being only 20-25 yds from the gated entrance. Surely one of us would have heard a car and caravan travelling down lane. And furthermore the gates being knocked. Or perhaps the robin red breast churp dulled our hearing???During our catch up chat. David checked his mobile many times and not once did it bleep or ring. After well over an hour. Approx 6.30. Finally escaped our clutches,to tend and welcome his other guests. So to summarize. Astbury falls is a excellent site, stunning beauty. And in our humble opinion owned by a brilliant couple who value and respect there campers/caravanners. And to read a review that is not only inaccurate, but hurtfull to not only the owners.but the many 100s of happy customers that astbury falls have welcomed over the yrs. Is a real shame. Please try this delightfull site. It is a little piece of heaven on earth.

cant comment as didnt get in !!!!!!!!

booked a pitch via telephone spoke to Dave confirmed again on the Thursday evening he stated if a problem with pay pal a deposit would not be required as short notice explained we would be there Friday evening. Tried to contact multiple times when arrived as unsure which double gate to use no reply mobile constentley engaged land line no reply left message. Had to carry on down the very narrow lane by now with caravan and turn around which took multiple manouvers, arrived back at the lodge gates there was a key pad but no facility to call anyone for help so we where left once again blocking the road for a driver behind pulled off and found lay by tried to contact Dave yet again multiple times leaving more messages no reply. Would like to say a big thanks to Dave and he does not really deserve any custom if this is how he behaves it is totally disgusting he could have ruined our weekend away but in fact we think he did us a favour as contacted another site who were more than welcoming perhaps Dave could enrol himself on a customer relations course this may prevent others experiencing his very poor customer care!!!!!!!!!!!

From the manager...

In response to posting an inaccurate and negative review. The only accurate part is that I did speak to you on the telephone advising you that we had experienced difficulties with our landline and internet connection. Following the call the email below was sent and received by yourselves although you chose not to reply and a deposit had not been received.

Just to confirm you are booked in on Friday for two nights. Could you please let us know your estimated time of arrival. The balance or the whole of the charge of £40 is payable by cash on arrival as we do not have card facilities. We also ask that once you reach Bridgnorth you call us so that we can give you exact directions to the site and ensure that the gates are open.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Astbury Falls Camping

Although we received no calls on the number given we waited and looked out for you from 5.30 until 7 p.m. that evening in case you arrived which was witnessed by other campers on our site.

I find your comments derogatory and without foundation and perhaps in future you will follow the guidelines given by sites to their guests prior to arrival.
