General

  • Off-grid, rural site on a five-acre paddock at a family-run farm
  • Five minutes’ drive from Wragby and 15 minutes from Market Rasen
  • Free-range eggs and wood available to purchase at the park

Linger in Lincolnshire during a hol at Grange Paddock Camping, a site in a rural, off-grid setting on a family-run farm around a five-minute drive from the Lincolnshire Wolds.

This park is made up of a five-acre paddock – with plenty of space to spread out – in West Torrington, set between Wragby (five minutes’ drive) and Market Rasen (15 minutes), a couple of towns with plenty of pubs, restaurants and supermarkets.

Being on a farm means guests have access to fresh free-range eggs and wood harvested from the park’s trees for the campfire (on request), so breakfast is covered in the mornings and warmth is sorted in the evenings.

During the hours in between head out and explore spots including the Bardney Limewoods National Nature Reserve (15 minutes), Lincoln (half an hour) and Sutton-on-Sea (50 minutes).

Wragby is also worth a wander round while you’re running errands: it has a couple of 19th-century manors, a Grade II-listed church and a tall old mill. A regular bus links it with Horncastle (20 minutes) and Skegness (50 minutes).

Portaloos and water are supplied on site.

Exactly as expected - flat private field, not many pitches, portaloos, basic as you like. Logs and a fire pit on hand, water supply nearby. All you need! Local pub and lovely restaurant in Wragby as recommended. 5 stars if there was availability to dispose of your rubbish at the end of your stay.

Had a great stay at Grange Paddock Camping. Big field, only had 4 other tents on it. Facilities are limited but we were aware of that and it's priced accordingly. The best thing was the ability to have a campfire, £10 got us a fire pit on which we could cook and a generous amount of logs. Also, you can buy fresh eggs and milk for your breakfast. The owner is very kind and helpful, the field is big and level, the site is quiet and the pitches are generous. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to go back.

The hospitality was spot on, felt like home as soon as we arrived and luckily we managed to come after school holidays so there was plenty of space to ourselves. Recommend purchasing some fire wood as we were given a fire pit to put with some bricks; became very useful! Portaloos were well looked after and noticed they had been sanitized often with guidelines. Definitely recommend and will be staying again in the future

    Disliked:

Not a lot of places to drive to that are close to buy food other than Wragby but it's the countryside so shouldn't expect more than little villages anyway!
