Skegness Fields: Fully serviced pitches in green surroundings

General

  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches

Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick.

Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal.

As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system.

The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

  • Liked:

The pitch was fairly level and generous with grass and hardstanding. Lovely to be fully serviced with clean shower and bathroom facilities.
Trees and bushes were well established which helped when the wind got up!
Within walking distance of a Pub and Town.

    Disliked:

Would have liked a designated dog walking area.
There was some road noise but this site is on a major road into Town.

    Disliked:

The site is on a main road with traffic running constantly 24/7 so can be quite noisy.
The toilets could have done with a bit of clean.
Struggled with WiFi. We purchased the WiFi from the site, paid 10.00 for 3 nights but still wasn’t great.

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand.

The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre.

From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.)

Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.

Must see

  • Sandringham (24.2 miles)
  • Holkham Hall (24.8 miles)
  • Houghton Hall (26.8 miles)

  • Gunby Hall (5.1 miles)
  • Gunby Hall Estate: Monksthorpe Chapel (6.4 miles)
