General

  • Near Mablethorpe and half a mile from the beach
  • Friendly team and high standards for facilities
  • Pool, restaurant and entertainment

You'll like this site – as well as its location, near Mablethorpe and less than a mile from the beach, Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park is a place where the team goes out of its way to ensure guests have a happy hol (and all is kept pretty spanking clean around here too).

The site is set in the grounds of a nineteenth century hall, with its focal point, the Cartwheel Club, converted from the old hall stables to a modern building for live entertainment and good food throughout the season.

Trusthorpe Springs has a heated swimming pool, converted with care from the old kitchen garden and open from the start of May to the beginning of September depending on weather conditions. The reception area has the site shop where staff try their best to cater to any stock request.

Please note

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/05 and 05/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Gorgeous caravan... Such welcoming staff! Very roomy and spotlessly clean! Little box of essentials provided too which is a nice touch! Really enjoyed our stay!

    Disliked:

None really other than saying that the caravans are very close together and had we not already been up with a baby it may have been annoying to be disturbed by the neighbours who did make quite a bit of noise
And the wifi dips in and out most of the time but who needs Internet on holiday!!!

From the manager...

Thank you for your super comments. Sadly we are restricted on the wi-fi as fibre broadband is not yet available in the area, but we do keep pressing OpenReach.

Good size van. Liked the little welcome pack, nice touch. Stayed before and enjoyed it then. But the pool was open. Maybe something could be done with the big building, turn it into an entertainment centre. For example.

    Disliked:

Stayed in this van before and was happy with it. This time though I wasn't too pleased with the cleanliness of it. On the surface it looked fine but during our short stay we found sweet wrappers in draws, a chewed up bottle lid at the back of the sofa, a plaster stuck under the wardrobe in one of bedrooms and one of the single bed mattress protectors was urine stained though we didn't notice this until the last night as we only used 2 or the single beds so informed staff on leaving. Probably would stay again but would check these things right away.

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving your comments. I'm sorry to see the cleaning standards had dropped but I have spoken to my house staff and reminded them of the high standards that should be maintained.
We have development ideas for Trusthorpe Hall but as this is a listed building we have to plan any changes in great detail and obtain the right approvals.

Thank you for your comments on your recent stay at Trusthorpe Springs. Unfortunately due to weather and maintenance requirements the pool does shut in the first week of Sept, hopefully on your next visit you'll be able to take full advantage of it.

Excellent facilities. Poorly located. Lots of anti social teens. 30/08/2017

The site facilities are excellent and because there are so few touring spaces the toilet and shower block was never crowded. The swimming pool is fantastic and really well maintained (like the rest of the site - very clean and well kept).
We only visited the pub once, but it seemed friendly enough and the prices are great.

    Disliked:

The tourers are sited adjacent to the road, which is rural, but very noisy. The site itself is noisy from late afternoon onwards. There were taxis coming on and off all the time for some reason (perhaps because the site is rural and there are no footpaths to walk along into Mabletherpe). The tourers are also sited straight across from the pub so you've no chance of any peace until the bar has closed and people have made their way (noisily) back. On the Saturday night the noise did not abate properly until 5am on the Sunday morning - no-one from the site was monitoring and moving on or asking to leave.
We were unfortunate enough to be there at the same time as a group of young people who were awful - they run amok until a silly time at night; swearing and shouting (one of the group was only 6 years old and out with the older teens until well after the pub shut). The language used was beyond anything young people of that age should know. They had no issue using it loudly and persistently. When you asked them to calm down or stop swearing you faced a barrage of abuse and insolence. This completely spoilt our stay and I felt anxious the whole time I was there as you knew it was going to start as soon as you wanted a nice, settled evening. I barely slept and my own girls refused to go out to the pub as they were too worried about being verbally abused.

From the manager...

Dear Vicki,
Thank you for taking time to leave your comments with us. As your comments show you enjoyed the park but were unnecessarily disturbed by rowdy poorly behaved children. I have reviewed the CCTV footage from the park for this period and am dealing directly with the parents of those children I can identify. Please do accept my apologies for the disturbance caused by these unsupervised ill behaved children.

Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park is half a mile from the coast, two miles from Mablethorpe and 15 minutes from Skegness, all of which should give beach fans plenty to be getting on with.

The country pubs and villages of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are a 30-minute drive away.
