Folly Farm is a small, friendly campsite surrounded by 200-year-old sycamore trees. We have uninterrupted views across open countryside.
Folly Farm is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of the Cotswolds near Bourton on the Water and close to the historic towns of Stow on the Wold, Winchcombe and Northleach. We are also located less than two miles from the Slaughters.
We have recently improved our facilities including showers, toilets, washing up facilities and WC disposal point.
Folly Farm has basic facilities and tends to be enjoyed by those who want a simple campsite. We encourage individuals, couples, quiet groups and families to stay.
There is space to play ball games and for children to explore. For those who like a longer walk or short drive there are a number of local villages with pubs that serve excellent food. All the amenities of Bourton on the Water are 2.5 miles from the site.
We are very popular with walkers and cyclists thanks to the endless choice of walks and cycling routes starting right here at the campsite.
Fishing, horse-riding and bicycle hire are also available.
We have many award-winning pubs nearby. The Black Horse at Naunton and the Hollow Bottom at Guiting Power are particularly popular.
Bourton on the Water, known as the Venice of the Cotswolds, is 2.5 miles away.

From the manager...
Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you had an unhappy experience with your fire. To clarify we do allow fires in BBQ's as long as the ground isn't being burnt and they are safe. I have spoken to our manager and she apologies if you found her abrupt. She did not intend to offend you or reprimand you. She was concerned as it was a windy night and there were quite big flames coming from a burning log in your BBQ close to tents.
As well as Bourton on the Water there are many other beautiful villages that are within walking and cycling distance of the campsite and are less touristy....try Naunton, Guiting Power, Turk Dean. We have maps of these walks on display at the campsite. Another place to explore that is very pretty and not crowded is Sherborne. Much of the village is owned by the National Trust and has wonderful parkland walks. The converted Post Office does great cream teas. Sherborne is a short drive from the campsite.
Our facilities are basic and clean. The sinks at 30" above the floor are a little low but it does mean that children as well as adults can reach the taps and help with the washing up!
Peaceful, basic, great onsite helpful managment, ideal for touring 8 May 2013

Thank you for your review and helpful comments. In 2012 we added more showers and loos. We now have 4 showers (family sized) and 7 loos. We have also added a Campers Cabin which has a freezer and fridge as well as some electric points for re-charging phones etc which campers are free to use. There are lights in the showers and loos but not over the washing up sinks as they are not enclosed and we don't want to disturb those in tents nearby.
