This campsite is really close to Alton towers, 5 min drive, same with shops, and a few local attractions. The scenery was beautiful. The campsite was really really clean, including the toilet block, I stayed a week and didn’t see it a mess once. The toilet block had a male, a female, and a family toilet, a washing up space, a freezer, and a fresh water outlet. There were a few people on camp but it wasn’t too loud. Theres a little shop where you can buy essential items. You can rent a fire pit or bbq, there’s a list of things you can hire for a good price. The couple who were at reception we’re really kind and helpful. Although they left and the owner of the campsite took over as reception, you have to go to their house to check in. They seemed friendly too. All in all it was one of the best campsites I’ve stayed at.

    Disliked:

There were only 3 showers and 4 toilets in the female toilet block (as a woman a didn’t look in the men’s) it didn’t affect me as there were no more than 10 tents at a time but I couldn’t see at peak times how this will work, might be an issue. We did have to leave two nights early, due to high winds, but this was due to a huge Atlantic storm.

When we got there we were told we were on pitch 42, however someone else was already on 42 so were told to use 43. The people who were pitched up on 44 had already set up and there tent crossed over about 2 metres into our slot however we still had enough room. As we were pitching our tent one of the rangers/wardens came and said we were fine there even though they had crossed over into our slot. Later on in the day about 5/6pm the people from 44 came back (6 males) niether said anything to me or my partner but about 20 mins later the warden came back as they complained we were to close even though they had crossed over. Apperently they had paid for 43 and 44 but didnt use 43. The warden made us move all our gear and tent across about 5 metres so we had litteraly half a slot even though we paid full price just so the 6 guys could park on of there cars in the space. Other then that a nice campsite
