This is our second stay touring at Ysbubor Fadog campsite on a hard standing, fully serviced pitch.
The site itself is lovely. Really well maintained, dog friendly and fairly spacious pitches. Owners are also really friendly and helpful.
The facilities are great. Spotless toilets / shower block. Vending machines (lovely coffee!), honesty box fresh eggs and ice machine. Washing machine and tumble drier also available. Green toilet fluids only (is available from reception if you don't have any).
There is ample parking and the site is in a nice, peaceful location.
Nearest shops / takeaway / pubs approx 4 min drive away. Lovely beaches all over the island to explore, many are dog friendly.
The only downside of our stay was due to the weather, so totally out of site owners control. Lots of rain meant lots if mud and waterlogged pitches. Even though hardstanding, grass needed to be crossed to access some pitches. Owners were providing mud mats for cars / motor homes to drive over to help rectify this issue, but one motor home arriving after us got stuck and needed to be pushed out by other campers. Like I say, not the fault of the owners, but something to bear in mind when booking at certain times of the year.
Also, no hairdryer in ladies shower block....remember to take one! 😊
For those looking to book a pod / geodome, these look amazing! They all appear to have hot tubs / bbqs to use, with plenty of wood to fire the hot tubs up!

We are sorry you feel this. As a first time motor home hirer you may have had different expectations but that is really not the fault of the site. Arriving at dusk in rain and leaving by 8.30am we feel your judgements of our site harsh and are grateful that the other guests staying the same weekend as you did not share your opinion as shown by their reviews. The site is 100% as advertised and indeed the images show the grass between the track and the bases, which makes the site far more appealing in the summer months but was also a condition of our planning that hard standings and hard surfaces are kept to a minimum. We have had unprecedented rain in the 14 days before your stay and were aware that the grass was very soft. In acknowledgement of this fact we did not ask that the vehicle be turned round as it was parked incorrectly, interfering with the next units private space, but rather we helped you to set up your unit, including loaning you tap fittings etc
When you expressed concerns about getting off the base immediately after arrival, you were advised that we had the equipment to help and would happily do so, but would be unavailable due to an unchangeable family commitment between 9am and 10am. You advised you would be out by 9am so we came to see if you needed help at 8.20 to discover you had got yourself off the base without asking for assistance but had caused significant damage to the area around the base. You raised no issues save to give us a thumbs up and drove off. We were concerned for your welfare when you did not return and in fact stayed in the office until 9pm incase you needed assistance on your return.
With regards to the wi-fi had you spoken to us about experiencing difficulties we would have assisted you.
