Activities were good. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Showers basic but plenty of hot water.
Big pitches and a large site.

Washing up facilities were very basic a concrete slab with taps. Could do with modernisation
Toilets could do with more regular cleaning

Lots of actives on offer. Huge amount of space in the wild camping area, woods for kids to play in. We really enjoyed our stay.

Showers and toilets were not always very clean. Showers were luke warm.

I thought it was a very peaceful place and myself and my son loved just chinning out and having a laugh, thankyou.

There is lots to do at Walesby Forest on and off site. The activities on site are good, £20 per day or £11 half a day, the activities each day are unlimited, so your child can access them from 9am until 12:30 and then 1:30 till 5pm.There is some evening entertainment for the children but if that’s not your thing you can access barrels for making campfires or BBQs.
There is a bar and gift/convenience store on site too but anything bigger Asda and Tesco are about a 5 minute drive towards Boughton.
Offsite activities you have Crestwell Craggs, Thoresby Park with Bird of Prey displays, gardens and cafeteria. There is also Robin Hood Caves which is worth a look to explore…. If you just like simply walking there are many paths and trails accessible from site.
If you experience any issues, the Walesby forest maintenance team are quick to help and rectify any issue that may arise. Our first day we had an issue with the electric hookup, where the electric kept tripping but this problem soon rectified and we did not experience anymore issues.

The only dislike was the water activities available at Walesby. The area is quite small and those who canoed, kayaked or rafted would soon get bored. I think a little more thought into this area would help gain more interest. For example: obstacles to teach them how to navigate the boats. A little more structure to the activity would help massively. Maybe a little lesson offshore prior to accessing the boat would help for those who had never done it before to prevent any incidences or pulling people off the lake.
There is also an area for fishing which is sign posted on activities board. We explored this area and there are no real platforms to fish safely for children plus it’s open to the public too.
Adequate signposting for the fishing would be good too as we did not see much of these….so possibly could have been in wrong area despite following the map provided.

Loved the big site and loads of room. The wristbanded activities were fabulous and kept everyone entertained (Laser tag was a particular favorite!) Great having bar and food options available too.

Our site (E) was just a bit too far away from the toilets to be comfortable. Although we loved the quiet and space, we would opt to be closer to a toilet if (when) we visit again.

Great camp site would recommend and hoping to return in the next few weeks.

Big open space. Lots of room per pitch. Activities were great. Staff lovely.

The toilets and showers are a mess. The sinks for pot washing were always full of food. No-one sorts the pitches so people were already pitched in our spaces, ended up having to run electric through other people's pitches. Some pitches are really uneven.

Amazing place cheap and loads for the kids to do.
