The location of this site is great, being only 10 min walk to the centre of Castleton.

Nothing to dislike so long as you know what you are booking. This is a wild camping site with no showers and a basic toilet block ( men’s = 1 urinal, 1 toilet, 1 sink ). The plots are also on a slope, but nothing that can’t be tolerated. We love this site and will return again.

Excellent campsite - clear instructions how to get there and good onsite facilities. breathtaking view to wake up to of Mam Tor!

Cannot emphasize enough that the site is on a slope. Not the owner's fault but you do need to account for it when packing.

Clean facilities, great location, farm animals on site, friendly people

Sloppiness and you had to press the cistern down in the toilet to flush.

A nice campsite with stunning views and very friendly staff. The option to rent a fire pit was a great addition too. The quiet time after 10pm was well enforced and observed by all. Although the site has a slope it is stated on the booking page, so not a surprise on arrival, and also completely manageable. Just a short walk into the village of Castleton, which has plenty of pubs, and a few shops and cafes. If you like walking, this is a great location.

The site was pretty busy, and there was a constant queue for the toilet and washing facilities, which are limited, but spotlessly clean. An issue did arise with flushing, but was quickly rectified once the staff were informed.

Fantastic location with beautiful views and walking distance to Castleton, Winnats Pass, and Mam Tor. Honestly had no issue with anything, all the advertised facilites were fine, and we would happily return here.

Loved this place, we had an amazing time. The Site owners were on site until late and so friendly and helpful. Snacks and cold drinks were available to buy from their cabin at the entrance. Fire pit rental was reasonable with logs and kindling included, lasted us all night. Toilets were clean and always stocked with toilet roll. Not too busy, and really quiet at night. Easy access to the village which is only a 10-15 minute walk away, main road is well lit. Lovely to see all the paragliders coming over the hill & landing in the field next door too. Will definitely return in the near future.

Very very busy. Clearly Overbooked. Lots of groups despite stating no groups. Loud music until early hours.
