It was a really lovely campsite, with a friendly welcome from the start, with helpful staff on hand from the point of booking.
We were able to choose our own pitch and had a choice from a number of fields, all of which were divided with a variety of trees, hedges, shrubs, hydrangeas, some palms and other flowers too.
The facilities were fabulous, there was never a queue or a 'rush hour', we didn't have to wait once to use any of them.
The bathroom and dishwashing areas were kept clean and it was helpful to have a wetsuit washing area.
There was plenty of space for the children to run around and explore, and it felt safe to let them do so. They enjoyed the playground and especially the toy Jeep.
The setting is lovely, surrounded by beautiful countryside and fields, with a big open sky. We enjoyed seeing the sunsets as well as the super moon rising this week. The house martins and swallows darting around in the late afternoon were wonderful to watch.
The location was great for exploring the far West of Cornwall - we were in the car for no more than 20 minutes for any of our day trips. We enjoyed exploring the local beaches and coves, finding some secret places as well as the more well-known sites of interest.
The local village takes 5 minutes to walk to and has a useful shop for supplies. The local church, St Buryan was wonderful, we joined their 9:30 service on Sunday, following the sound of the bells, and had a very warm welcome and an inspiring and refreshing morning there.
Just a lovely place to stay, we've come back feeling refreshed and energised.
