Booked site to attend performance in attached Barn - perfect evening, and great facility. Grounds are in quiet location but cycling distance to Wisbech

Shower and amenities block really dated and filthy - no obvious cleaning routine, and when addressed the issue it seemed staff were too busy to make this a priority. Only very basic cleaning it seems - cobwebs in kitchen pre-date the summer I suspect. . I noticed reviews from 2 years ago mentioned the state of the sofa - looks like the same one. 2nd night ruined by feral children running amok (quiet time doesn’t start until 11pm), and a private memorial function in the barn playing live music from early afternoon until late. No where to sit quietly to avoid this, and sitting at nearby bar felt intrusive to the mourners. Owner apologised but would have stayed elsewhere if they had informed us in advance- only ticketed events are listed on website.No offer of refund. Sadly, not rushing to return unless this is addressed - if we can be sent a welcome email, I’m not sure why we couldn’t have been informed in advance of this event? At least music distracted from screaming children…

Lovely mature grounds with individual and private pitches. Friendly greeting and well stocked shop available on arrival. Pub with local ales to enjoy in flower filled beer garden.

Really beautiful surroundings and private pitches. The pub on site was lovely and the toilet block clean and a good size for families.

There was an event on mid week that was very loud until late. No prior warning given and not great for getting a baby to sleep.

Really nice, clean and quiet site, with a very pleasant bar and friendly barman, Paul. Each pitch was beautifully secluded too.

The only thing that let it down a bit was the fact that the showers flooded a bit because clearly their drainage system can’t quite cope but it wasn’t a massive issue.

All the pitches appeared to be in their own little secluded spot. The name of the site is the clue. We had electrical hookup on a large flat pitch. The toilet, shower and Elsan facilities were all very clean. The site has a small shop next to the reception where some essentials (beer) could be bought. Due to the nature of the site you were not aware of others around you. The gardens were nice to walk around with the pleasant surprise of a pen with a couple of small pigs.

Plants secluding you from other campers but close enough to say hello. Only maximum 1 hours drive to Cambridge/Ely/ Kings lynn/Over

Smell from shower/toilet block after frequent use
We had a shaded area in mor ings so would have struggled to dry off tent if spaces still allocated as had to move tent to sunny area to dry off
Needed car to go to Wisbech due to no paths and cars driving very quickly along road

Perfect getaway, can see why it's booked up :-)
Every pitch is Perfect, with a fire pit.
Everything you need on site, great food, drink and atmosphere.
A band was on when we visited, making it even more fun!
Really recommend, one of the best set up campsite I've visited.
Definitely will be back.
Stayed in F18 tucked in the corner surrounded by trees, Perfect evenings.
