Lovely peaceful site, perfect for a quiet getaway.
Very friendly owners who were really welcoming and helpful.
The site is beautifully clean and our pitch was large and flat.
We would love to go and visit again.

We had been offered the perfect private spot due to grass non electric pitch damp and had the space .kayaking was very funny thanks to a regular local guy super friendly lent me his ,let's say I had a refreshing dip .

Bit too quiet for us but can't fault the campsite we enjoyed it regardless.

- Its in a very remote place, so if your looking for things to do there not much around the area unless your willing to drive. However if your looking for a remote place for walks and to be away from the bustle then its ideal !

I love this site and keep coming back! Owner James and his family are so helpful and think of everything. It’s immaculate, the pitches are flat and spacious, and the area is beautiful. Wonderful scenic drives on the doorstep, great walks, village Post Office for essentials and shops at Llanwrtyd (10 mins away) to stock up on supplies. Then back to Riverside for a lovely hot shower in the spotless toilet/shower block, and feet up in front of a firepit.
It’s a perfect getaway at a peaceful rural site that has good facilities without being overcommercialised. I look forward to returning again soon.

Large plot +++. Very clean campsite. Green space to play on. Accommodating owners and staff. Quiet after 10:30ish. Surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful with lovely walks.

As mentioned on previous reviews - THE SHOWERS. My wife tried the shower and her experience put me off so I didn't bother. 50p for 5 minutes might be long enough if the showers were good but they are not. A dribble coming out of the shower head, the water varying from too hot to freezing cold. Even if you put in £1 you still only get 5 minutes and lose the other 50p. The money slot is outside the shower cubicle so if you want to get a longer shower you have to put your towel around you and open the door to pay. The block should have cubicles with sinks in so that you can wash in private.

Had a brilliant stay at Riverside! It's a beautiful setting for a peaceful escape, which was exactly what I wanted.
Lovely owner James greeted me, showed me to my pitch, and explained where everything was. The whole site is flat and level, well laid out with plenty of open space. My pitch had a large gravel area to park my campervan on, and spacious grass for my awning and for sitting out. Shower/toilet block is immaculate and cleaned frequently. Dishwashing sinks have plenty of hot water. Good recycling and grey water facilities.
Enjoyed watching the pheasants and red kites from my pitch, and even spotted a kingfisher by the river. The scenery is absolutely wonderful.
There's a small shop and Post Office in Llangammarch Wells village a few minutes stroll away - I found it great for getting a newspaper and basic supplies without moving the van (check opening times). Also stocked up at the marvellous convenience stores at Llanwrtyd Wells.
I've already re-booked for a longer stay to explore the area in the spring - can't wait to return to Riverside. Thank you very much James, Danielle, and family!
