Peaceful site attached to pub with good food

The site was peaceful with beautiful views. Friendly pub staff and the food was great. Will stay again but without electric.

Paid for an electric pitch which kept tripping out which was annoying and not worth the extra £8 per night. No staff with regards to the camping side of things. Toilets could’ve been cleaned but were ok.

Great location, close to Watchet and Minehead. Lovely beach called blue Anchor on the way to Minehead, free parking, very peaceful with a pub very close. Also close to Porlock weir . Drove up porlock hill onto Exmoor fantastic views of the se. Carry onto Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon then down to Coombe Martin another lovely beach (supermarkets nearby). The site was well tended and peaceful. The pub is very popular on a Sunday so book in advance (Carvery only). Bar staff are very friendly prices are very reasonable. Lovely seating area outside the bar. The ladies and gents loos on the campsite are clean. Washing up facilitaties good. Drinking water on site. Overall a great base to stay in and will book again.

Wasn’t too keen on the portaloos but to be honest for £10 per night you are getting a great bargain.

The site is nice and peaceful in a good location. The food was good.

The site allows dogs, the dog poo bin was overflowing and hadn't been emptied in quite some time, going by the amount of dogs while we were there. The toilet and shower portacabin wasn't cleaned for the entirety of our stay and by the look of it isn't cleaned very well at all. One of the toilets was leaking water all over the floor each time it was flushed, if the toilets were cleaned, this would have been noticed. Due to electrical issues, the lights, extractor fans, hand dryer etc didn't work most of the time. Each night we stayed, all the hook ups on site tripped out. When we were eventually able to report it, someone came round and temporarily sorted it. The excuse given was that someone was probably using a kettle or a heater. Surely if the electrics were right, it would have only tripped the hook up in question, not the whole site. No concession was made for the lack of electrics that had been paid for. The drinks in the pub are extortionate, over 7 quid for two pints of soft drink.

Lovely location and quiet site. Chap who checked us in was really helpful and friendly. Facilities were clean and functional. Pub on the door step! Had a reasonable evening meal, basic pub fare but tasty.

Facilities are a bit tired but they were clean and the water was hot. The pub could do with more staff, especially during the day.

Friendly welcome. Great pub with good food and beer, directly infront of camp fields. Good wash facilities. Dedicated dog walking area.

A little remote with no local shop for emergency supplies. My error in not looking on maps/earth for distance and gradient of the road to the site
