Walk to the local village was not great along busy country road without pavement - there is an off road route but not easy to follow across fields with livestock
Hey there, thank you for your review! We're glad you had an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately that field isn't a dog exercise field it is our rally field for Caravans so the gate remains open to allow guests in and out. As we require dogs on leads on our site we do allow campers to take their dogs off leads in that rally field if no caravans are in there. Feel free to pop into reception to clear up any potential confusion next time :)
Also, we have a map and QR code in reception for the local walk into the village via the fields that pin points your gps to help with any navigational issues. Hope this will help for next time.

We had a level gravel pitch with grass next to it. It was great that we could have a camp fire. Well kept site. Not too far from Beeston castle and The Pheasant pub. Will visit again.
