Facilities- showers, toilets and washing up areas were very clean. Close for good walks and walking distance to pub! Even better to see the northern lights this weekend. We would definitely return! It was lovely to meet you both and so glad you had a lovely weekend. One of the things I love is the night sky at night as we have no light pollution, but the Northern lights were a lifetime experience, so glad you got to see them.

No em va agradar: We couldn't book an electric hook up pitch so I brought my brand new maxpeedingrods mxr3500 silent generator to test out only to be told I have to turn it off as it was too loud and disturbing others on the site (even though they were playing music and laughing and cooking food,which we're not bothered about!) I had to leave the site with the generator in the boot of the car and park on a country lane and start the generator to charge our phones just so the kids had something to watch while in bed. We came with 3 kids one being 11mth old so spending a night with no electric was fun 🤬 woke up freezing and unable to put the power on to heat the caravan up. We were there for the bike racing at Oulton Park and it completely ruined our weekend. If it wasn't for spending a lot of money on the racing tickets we'd have gone straight home! It doesn't say anything about not using generators on the site in their do's&don't hence why we booked the pitch. Really disappointed with this site. Won't be using it again.

Pitch & Canvas is a quiet, family friendly campsite where guests can relax in the knowledge they will have a peaceful nights rest and enjoy the ambience of our site. Sadly your generator, which was running through the night as well as during the day, disturbed the majority of other campers who were staying in tents, (it could even be heard inside the toilet block), so we politely asked you to turn it off. We would always advise guests to book the correct pitch type for their unit and if no pitches are available contact us and we will add to the waiting list for those particular dates, or look for alternatives for you.
Guests staying on non electric are always welcome to safely charge phones / iPads in Reception or they can use the plug sockets located inside both the ladies and gents facilities.
Every guests comfort is very important to us, along with our sites ambience.
Whilst we are sorry our campsite isn't suitable for you, we wish you the best for the camping season ahead.
