Beaches were beautiful

You people drinking walking down to the beach not part of the site. No site wardens touring and extremely strong smell of cannabis coming from caravan next door meaning the kids and us couldn’t sit out. Same first thing in the morning. Very early check out for a touring pitch for 10am.

A very clean site with easy access to some beautiful walks including the beach. It’s an easy walk into Nairn for dinner.

Unfortunately everything that I liked about this stay are the things I could have experienced had I camped for free at the nearby marina. Nairn is a lovely little town with a great beach and plenty of fast food and restaurant options.

We booked the campsite to make use of the toilets, showers and pool. The toilet and showers were not cleaned once during our 3 day visit so we ended up using our portaloo and I couldn’t bring myself to use the showers. The pool was fully booked so we needed up paying to go to the local community pool instead. The touring area is a good distance from the main complex and as it backs onto a beach trail it can be noisy with people passing through.

It was a fair walk to the main complex.

The stunning beach behind the camp. The reception staff member was lovely, welcoming & knowledgeable.

Felt like the ugly secret shoved to the back of the camp. A long walk to the entertainment complex & certainly couldn't take the motorhome up there as there's no parking spaces for it. As someone who has mobility issues, I felt that we had no choice but to stay in the motorhome & make food as I couldn't go to the complex for food. Also, this is the first site I've been to that has charged for a dog which was £3.50. I still don't understand why I was charged as the dog was with me at all times & made no mess, especially as the only thing we did with her was go on the beach which was gorgeous as we couldn't go anywhere else around the camp. Another thing I didn't like was having to use codes to enter the toilets & washing facilities. The ladies had a shorter code than the men's but when using it, we both had to take a copy of the numbers to enter. There was no mention on the information leaflet about where or how to empty waste from the motorhome. We just asked another motorhome guest where they went. It's such a shame that we felt excluded from the rest of the park & the complex because the beach is a definite asset to the park but the beach alone won't sway me to return.
