No em va agradar: The pitches are close to each other however, we stayed in October and the site was not busy but in the summer it would be too busy with people for us. Toilets dated but clean and perfectly usable.

No em va agradar: Not a site for touring units. There were only about 9 hardstanding pitches for tourers.
Most of the site was taken up with Seasonal/permanent caravans and motor homes.
The 9 hardstandings were the furthest pitches from the old outdated sanitary block, where you had to put coins in meters for a shower and even for hot water to wash up.
Sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Lyons Gate. It does say we are a fishery on pitch up so you know that when you book and you are also advised there is a charge for the hot water in the showers.

Very relaxing watching people fishing and we were lucky with the weather. The site has no phone signal but this did not worry us as we wanted to get away from it all. Did the walk (approx 2 miles) to the local pub through the woods and fields and it was beautiful, you can get a phone signal in the woods if you need to contact the outside world. Pub is also highly recommended and dog friendly.
Phil and Mandy made us feel very welcome and went over and above and we are very thankful for their hospitality, we will definitely be visiting again.
