Site staff were really friendly and helpful. We were a large group and they put us altogether. Site is flat and well positioned for local attractions. Local shops, pub and bakery a 5 minute drive away.

Showers were cold, but this was the only downside.

We really liked the campsite on the whole. There was no daily charge or KW/H charge for electric, which was nice. The pitches are a brilliant size, with plenty of shady spots; and the freedom to choose your spot (within reason). We didn’t try the pizza van, but it looked and smelled lovely. The firepit was £12 for the duration and came with wood, which was nice too (cash only). Good central location for South Dorset’s main attractions like Tank museum, monkey world, lulworth cove/castle and Durdle Door. Grant was very accommodating when I contacted him to change dates slightly, and charged no extra - thank you Grant!

Showers and facilities in general weren’t amazing. The toilets were fine, although more regular cleaning would be nice. The showers however are diabolical. It’s a shared changing space with no privacy, and tiny showers with opaque at best curtains, that stick and cling to your skin - so really unhygienic. The temperature is not regulated, so one moment it will be boiling hot, the next ice cold. Water pressure is pants too, and you have to push a button every 10 seconds to keep it running. Three showers per gender is also not adequate for a site this size. There were often queues at peak times, and because the changing area door is lockable, some selfish people would lock the door when in the shower alone; preventing the other two showers from being used!

Also, a small play area for the kids might be nice, but in all fairness they had no problem making their own fun!

Owner was friendly and helpful the site was clean and the showers and toilets.

Great location, check in was quick and easy and staff were friendly. Our pitch was level and quiet. Within short drive of beaches and towns. Nice for a short stay and good price. They have a fresh pizza van on certain nights which was a great option for dinner.

The shower block was dirty and not suitable for the size of the campsite. There is a shower room with 3 shower cubicles inside but the room had a lock and because the cubicles were just a shower and curtain with no room to change people would go in the room by themselves and lock the door. Every time I would go to see if I could shower there would be one person blocking off all 3 showers with people queuing outside. Had to wait about an hour until I could shower.

The elsan point was just a regular toilet outside, we saw a few people emptying their chemical waste and it kept blocking the toilet which inevitably happened when we tried too.

Absolutely beautiful campsite I love the pitches loads of places for the kids to play quite just a lovley little campsite

The toilets they weren’t cleaned once threw out our stay Tuesday to the Saturday showers are cold and the whole block is very dirty

Beautiful surroundings, very easygoing atmosphere, all the amenities were there and working, and the pizza van was stellar.

Disliked reading all the negative comments about the showers. They were actually fine. It's not a spa for sure but it's as good as a public swimming pool shower block and this is camping so yeah...all good things.
