I can honestly say, this campsite has the best, friendliest welcome we have ever had. Their local knowledge is great, and being told that, while being given a personal tour of their site for facilities and pitch etc, makes a unique super friendly welcome……There is a local shop just up the road, which has a amazing hot food counter and cake counter, and stock’s everything you may need for your holiday. The local pub, near the shop, does lovely food, I’m definitely going back for their scampi, Wi-Fi on the campsite is not great, but you will get a signal near the reception. Personally I loved not having Wi-Fi and just chilling. When I wanted to watch tv, I just simply went to near reception and downloaded films from Amazon prime for free, I also downloaded all the soaps, Corrie, emmerdale etc from the ITVX hub, it takes minutes to download from near the reception. This campsite has a lot to offer, the location and price is superb, the showers are hot and super clean, very very well maintained. Before we left the Lakewell campsite we already booked in again for another holiday next month. Thumbs up 👍 from my partner,my french bulldogs 🐾🐾 and I xxxxxxxxxx

Quickly showed to our pitch and all questions answered with ease. So helpful and made us feel at home straight away. The site is beautiful and every pitch just looked stunning.

Thank you for letting us know about the showers. We are sorry to say that you were not the only guests that experienced an issue with the showers and we have already booked our plumber to come and investigate the issue as the system we have should never run cold.

They was so friendly and felt genuine when we was being explained everything on site (Not like it was an automated message to every customer). Facilities was clean and to a very high standard. We have booked another stay for July!

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: Fantastic service by the Lakewell group! We felt very cared for and everyone was exceptionally friendly during our stay. The facilities were clean, tidy and nice to use, which was great. A lovely little lake with a (very) small bit of woodland made the place just that bit better as it was great to be able to take the dogs on a small loop around the site without disturbing the other guests too much! Plus it’s nice to see a bit of wildlife left alone too.
No em va agradar: The only issue we encountered was the lack of enforcement of noise levels after certain hours. The first night I had to go and ask some guests (a considerable distance away) to stop shouting at 2am as they were keeping us all awake and likely other guests too!

We can only apologise about the issues you encountered with other guests, and you are absolutely right you should not have had to deal with that. We would like to thank you for your sense of social responsibility and for stepping in. The site is usually walked from 10pm to around midnight depending on the noise levels we encounter. We would hope that any guests encountering such problems would be happy to let us know so that we can also address the issue of noisy guests during our quiet hours on site.

Thank you. We do try and keep the verge as clear as we can for walking and we are hoping that once the A30 works have been completed that the road will quieten down.
