I read the reviews before visiting and the road noise is not as bad as it is made out

No em va agradar: The A road is just on the other side of adjacent field and is really busy (traffic noise), take your ear plugs. Not suitable for walking as no paths/pavement and road so busy.

The site was kept to a very standard, the washing facilities had lots of hot water, and had a fridge / kettle.
This is a really, really good choice and close to Longleat safari park. Owners friendly and helpful.

The kids loved the games room and outdoor play equipment. Excellent proximity to Longleat safari park. Frome amenities just a few minutes down the road. Food served on site.
No em va agradar: We could hear the noise from the road but that can't be helped and the location was ideal.

Made to feel welcome.
The hut I stayed in was clean and comfortable and well equipped with what I needed. I slept like a log for both nights. I liked that I had my own area with privacy screening outside.
Toilets and showers were exceptionally clean.
Close to supermarket and Frome town centre, also nearby other places of interest.No em va agradar: May not suit someone who wants complete peace and quiet as it is a child friendly site with play area next to the hut. It was not personally a problem during my stay.

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: Nice level tidy site with good amenities. Great place to stay for a family, with a games room, garden play equipment and a locked gate. Beautiful countryside with lots of lovely places to visit.
No em va agradar: The site is near to a very noisy road. It's a small site and can be noisy near the games room, so probably not great for people who want a quiet place to stay. Toilets and showers are in sheds with gaps in the wood, making you feel a bit exposed. There wasn't enough toilets and showers, and we had to queue to get to a basin at times. At night the lights went off when we were in the shower/toilet and we had to run outside to make the lights come back on.

Positive or negative, we appreciate it, as we always like to know where we can improve.
We’re so sorry you felt the site was too noisy for you. When you came we had some lovely families there, all just making the most of the little sunshine we’ve had this year. We did have free pitches and would have been more than happy to move you if you had requested this.
We are on site everyday and a member of staff lives on-site, any problems can be quickly spoken about and addressed, it’s such a shame you felt you couldn’t speak to us whilst you were there. We have a 24/7 phone number for any emergencies also, we’re always ready to help. We saw you a few times whilst we were cleaning the pods and lodges, perhaps you didn’t recognise us as we are the cleaners too 🙂
Regarding your point about the showers, somehow the sensor for the light had been moved around so it wasn’t picking up any motion whilst you were in the shower. Please accept our apologies and thank you for pointing that out; we really do appreciate it.
Also, we are just wondering if you saw the second shower block? It’s located at the bottom of the site, which you can see on the site map.
We have investigated the ‘gaps’ in the wood. There were 2 very small gaps, but you can’t see through them. We filled them anyway for everyone’s peace of mind. Again, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention.
At any point, all of these issue’s could have been dealt with straight away by asking in person or by calling the number 😊
Again, we’re so sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. But we hope, knowing we’re always there to help, you’d reconsider staying again.

Staff were also very friendly l, great place to stay, close to Longleat, Lilly's cider brewery and about a half hour drive to Stonehenge

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you found the road too noisy, it really does depend which was the wind is blowing and it can be busier around rush hour. We have many campers that never hear it and have a very peaceful stay whilst listening to bird song.
We are near to Frome town, so although in a lovely rural spot you can easily access lots of amenties.
Regarding the walking and footpaths, just over the road from the campsite are the most beautiful scenic walks, which will take you for miles, on decidated footpaths.
We do hope you come and visit again soon.
