We were glamping in a bell tent. It was amazingly comfortable - including the double bed, we had electricity and side lights, and a futon. The cupboard kitchen had everything we could need.
Such luxury to be able to camp without needing to bring and put up a tent.
We enjoyed the simplicity of being in the countryside, cooking over an open fire and going to sleep having watched the stars and listening to the wild life, following the curfew of 10pm no noise policy.
The stream was so refreshing for all including our dog.
The washrooms/showers were always very clean and tidy and the farm shop was small but stocked all the basics required.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The campsite is about 20 minute drive from Rutland water reservoir /lake about the size of Windermere with lots to see and do for all ages.

What a beautiful little campsite. We all really enjoyed our stay in the Skylark. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The couple running it were very friendly and helpful will knowledge of the local area.

Beautiful, quiet, clean campsite with excellent showers and loos.

I was aware of the high speed trains in a nearby cutting.

Family friendly campsite with useful and well stocked farm shop. Amazing to have a coffee machine. Lovely stream for kids to play in. Bathrooms and washing up facilities are kept in clean condition. Freezer available for freezer blocks. Also amazing to be able to hire the fire pit and have marshmallows and biscuits and skewers stocked in the shop.

Only one set of toilets so far to go if you are pitched on the opposite end with little kids.
Games tent is good but only actually has one table tennis and football table could do with some more games.
On our first night the pitch next to us was very noisy until around 10:30/11pm until someone on other pitch yelled shut up!
