We were there for a week and given a choice of pitches and chose one on the perimeter with views of the mountains. Benabarre is an old town dominated by a castle that is well worth a visit. Had day trips to Lleida and Barcelona (regular trains from Lleida). We dined a couple of times at Restaurante Can Pere which is not far from the campsite, has friendly staff and is reasonably priced. Many campers use this as a stopover on their way north and south and it is well positioned for this.
No em va agradar: Shopping facilities in the town are limited but you can get essentials. Like many sites in Europe the electricity supply had the live and neutral crossed, fortunately having learnt this we carry a mains checker and a reverse polarity adaptor which solved the problem.

No em va agradar: ......it was closed from 19.00, as was the bar! I walked into the town, but nowhere was open to eat, or starring before 21.00, and I'm a long distance cyclist, so I needed to eat, then sleep, so I could set off early the following morning.

Due to lack of staff, we cannot be open all day

La piscine étant fermée et c'est normal en cette période cela doit être un véritable plus. Des accès jeux sont proches pour les enfants.

No em va agradar: Showers very poor. No clothes hanging facilities in the showers and the showers were poor. Overall just a little bit of maintenance and care and attention would have made a big difference.
