No hot water in the evening

The pool, the slides (which the lovely owner opened up for us for the morning ahead of their high season as he saw 3 Irish kids chomping at the bit to try them out), the lovely staff

WiFi for 1 person in the group only

The pool was good and the slides well kept. Toilet facilities were cleaned daily and generally well kept (if a little outdated). Pitch was a good size and WIFI for one device was well received. Staff were friendly and some spoke English.

The noise on an evening was quite loud across the whole site and whilst this was expected, it sometimes went on quite late (midnight on a Friday) which made it difficult for our 5 year old to sleep. Whilst the toilets were cleaned daily, some of the residents obviously had lower standards and a few times on an evening, some toilets were out of order due to poor usage; a review of facilities during the evening could easily rectify this. On reflection, it did seem quite expensive for a 3-star site. Site was on a busy road so no real option to use our bikes to go anywhere, with little in the local area but a short drive into the beautiful town of Royan which has everything you would need.
