Well behaved dogs being allowed to be off lead was awesome & loads of acres to walk round & river to splash in for them. Got stuck in the field overnight after some rain & got a cheerful tow out from the hosts & their landrover. Had to leave early sadly after an emergency phonecall but would 100% recommend

We stayed in water meadow, it was flat, lots of wild life and close to the facilities. We explored some of the fields with the kids. They enjoyed jumping in puddles. Really picturesque with lots of nooks you could camp in. We will be back!

It could be useful to have a communal fridge or freezer to redo our freezer blocks. As we fidnt have a proper fridge.

Lovely facilities, with everything you could need for a few nights.No em va agradar: Facilities ran out of water, but quickly solved so a very minor issue.
A reminder to check dogs for ticks!

The facilities were great, even the showers were warm, which I was not expecting with it being a wild camping site. Staff were lovely and helpful, and directed us to the best place to pitch after listening to what we were looking for. Had a really nice weekend, and would definitely return next time we are looking to stay in the area.
No em va agradar: It was a shame that the previous occupants of the pitch had decided to just leave the remnants of their campfire/bbq on the ground rather than clear it up, but that says more about them than the site.

I stayed for 5 peaceful nights and set up in the furthest away field from the main reception!! I literally saw maybe 3 people while I was there… just what I wanted!! The showers were unique and still very good, there was the cutest little seat and chairs (overlooking a stunning lake) with lots of cushions and blankets and a chiminea for those chillier evenings 🙌🏼 honestly the best camp site I’ve ever been to!!
