Sandwich Lakes

Em va agradar: Quiet, peaceful setting. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Large, spacious field for play and dog walks. Special area for off lead activities (very unusual). Meals available on site (we didn't use the cafe but it was full as we left). Showers and toilets fresh and clean. Only stayed one night as we were catching a ferry to France. Very quick and easy route from site to ferry terminal, approx 15mins.

No em va agradar: There is an extensive range of supplies and equipment for anglers, it's just a shame that they didn't extend this to essential supplies for campers. Not a big issue though.

Em va agradar: Fantastic site. Huge grass pitches, plenty of space, friendly staff, bus stop to Sandwich outside site. Big fishing tackle store on site and various lakes to fish. Had a wonderful weekend. Definitely will be going back again.

Em va agradar: Just booked for the 4th time this year. The pitches are well kept and a great size. Plenty of space for familes to meet.The facilities are excellent, always clean (and free) nice hot showers. The food in the waterside cafe is very nice, to eat in or take away, and the shop if perfect for everything all anglers need. The lakes are kept to a high standard and are full of plenty of varieties of fish.

No em va agradar: Only a small thing, the play park is quite a distance away from where you pitch. Could do with a slow down sign for some who like to drive to fast on the grass (mainly towards the lake) where children are playing.

Em va agradar: Totally loved this site,really friendly , the fishing was great, quite and facilities were clean and well looked after, dog field for dogs,and in a great place to go for sight seeing. We will be returning for another great hoilday. 😁

Em va agradar: Lovely welcome, helpful staff. Great space per pitch. Super clean facilities. Wonderful hot water and great sized sinks for washing up etc. BEST thing was having to pay only a deposit. For someone like me who follows the sunshine, it's great to have that flexibility.

Em va agradar: Been here many times over several years and its a great site and we will continue to come. But it has its downfalls. Fishing is decent, cafe is decent and reasonable prices. Soon to be a small supplies shop opening, not sure why they don't sell them from main shop too be honest. It's also in a good location, not too far for takaways and supplies etc. Sandwich is a lovely little town.

No em va agradar: Downfalls, this site is great when it's quieter but not so when busy. Their are only 3 toilets/sex so when its busy their can be a bit of a wait for the facilities. No set pitches which can cause problems and when it's busy they tend to squeeze the units together and provide doublers for electrics to increase capacity. School holidays especially. Motorhome next to us went out for the day and came back to find caravan in their space. They were very unhappy, if you bring a motorhome I'd advise a gazebo.

Em va agradar: This is the 3rd time visiting sandwich lakes.we have alway be very pleased, this time I could see a few little extra improvements, the toilet & shower are excellent lots of hot water,will be returning in a few weeks
