Liked: this is a lovely well looked after site, quiet and peaceful would defiately return. Disliked: only dislike was the weather rain , wind and snow but was lovely sitting in our caravan looking at the view of the hills. |

Liked: Well maintained site with modern toilet shower facilities which were spotless throughout our stay. Disliked: The roads in and out of the site are not the best but this is not the fault of the site. |

Liked: it was a nice park TOILETS ANS SHOWERS WAS NICE AND CLEAN Disliked: IT WAS A GOOD PARK APART FROM NO SHOP AND AT THE BAR THERE WAS N O FAG MACHINE SO YOU HAD TO GO FOR A WALK INTO KIPPEN THAT WAS A 5 MILE WALK UNLESS YOU HAVE A CAR |

Liked: The site was well maintained, the shower block was spotless, the pool was clean, the staff were very polite and very helpful all ropund big thumbs up :) Disliked: Not really anything i disliked about Balgair Castle holiday park apart from it would be good to have a small shop on site rather than have to drive for 15 minutes into Balfron for the co op

Liked: From arrival to departure the experience was one of serenity. The site is situated in such a poetic part of Scotland with views of the Campsies, burns, and lakes. Disliked: Only having one night to appreciate the peace, quiet and tranquility of this campsite.

Liked: most things about the site Disliked: the noise even though it says keep down after 10pm it didnt especially from friday onwards

Liked: The good weather that allowed my grandaughter to play in the outdoor pool. I liked the fact thet my grandaughter could play safely in the park area and I was able to watch from my pitch. Disliked: I had no dislikes all good

Liked: The Pool, The Location, The Camp Layout, the opportunity for electric hook up for tents, The play park, The bar & food. Staff were very friendly. Disliked: No shop, late opening times for the pool and other amenities. No on-site shop for basics (only found out on last day that there was a shop at the Fintry sports centre - no info anywhere to help with this). Was told on last night that there was no evening meals left - at 7.45pm!

On arrival, we do provide our customers with an information booklet that informs them about the local area including the shop at Fintry. We also have some posters displayed on the park about the shop but will certainly try to increase these and emphasis it to our customers on arrival. Liked: First time visitors - Kids liked playpark, pool and openness of campsite. Disliked: Due to weather, pitch area very muddy and we were right on corner of ajoining road area...vehicles short cutted and bike riders made surface worse...

Thank you for reviewing Balgair Castle. We are delighted you enjoyed the facilities on the park and the food in the restaurant. Unfortunately, due to the poor weather the pitches have become wet and in some places muddy. We do our best to arrange alternative pitches however, in some cases due to advance bookings this is not possible. We are sorry that you experienced noise from people next to you. Our wardens do try to keep noise to a minimum after 11pm and we do emphasise this to customers on arrival. We also provide a telephone number for guests to call in the event of disturbances. |

Liked: the very friendly and helpful staff nothing was to much trouble for them also liked the clean shower room and sophie loved swimming in the pool will defenately be back lovely location Disliked: the weather but that isnt something we can control

Liked: Very quiet, peaceful, clean, good amenities nearby caravan. Good intertainment, kids loved it. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay Disliked: People walking dogs and allowing them to do their business near caravan area (even though they picked up stools) where kids were playing and rolling about on grass.

Liked: we enjoyed everything about the site we did say it could bre doing with just a small shop so ppl do not have to leave the food was good and entertainment was fab,kids had a good time but dnt think we will be doing tents much longer once we save pennies for wend we are defo coming back as we were speaking abt buying on site :) x Disliked: none

Liked: Balgair Castle Holiday park was my families first experience of holidaying in the UK and it wont be the last. The camp was run by lovely people who really knew that the customer came first. Disliked: Weather was a bit rubbish but it is Scotland !! |

Stayed in a tent, two adults and six children. Fiveinourhouse (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Overall I would say that this campsite was value for money however I am not sure that I would return. Disliked: The toilet facilities appeared to be fairly new but where inadequate as there where only three female showers for the whole site. So queueing was inevitable. |

Liked: The warm and friendly welcome i recieved from Joanne and John. I was alone with 3 young kids. Joanne and John made sure i had everything i needed and i felt really safe knowing they were there if they were needed. I also liked the way everyone looked out for all the kids. A very happy weekend was had by all. Disliked: Although the shower block looks fantastic, It was not practical when u have the kids to shower and dress. Maybe a shower basin at the bottom of the shower, or a ledge to put clothes on. |
