Liked: Being retired we don't usually holiday in August but thanks to this years weather we made an exception to that rule as the weather forecast was for at least dry days.
Upon our arrival our first impression was 'It's Very Busy' but in all fairness it was peak holiday time and the kids are off school..... At receiption we were greeted with a warm and genuine smile after checking in we were asked to follow a member of staff who lead us to our Deluxe Pitch backing on to their golf course. Once setup it was time to explore the site, my wife headed to the loo's and gave up the thumbs up, really nice, really clean and tidy. that's a very good start. A quick look in the indoor swimming pool also had both our thumbs up, really nice and not as packed as we thought. Time for tea and cake in the coffee shop was a nice treat before heading to my Holiday Interest - The Golf Club, again a warm welcome, a genuine smile and a nice pint of Plassey's own beer... Mabel was looking around the craft centre and garden centre and joined me later. Well all looked fine we both thought. Well a fantastic week was had, yes the site was busy but somehow it never seemed packed or rowdy and you could hear a pin drop after about 10.30. The pitch was large, and not overlooked and the facilities were 100%. In general their staff were always busy, but always seemed happy with a smile on their face. What ever time you went the loo or to have a shower they were always 100% clean and tidy, we saw no litter, the grass on the site was well cut (it made by lawn at home look untidy) the flower beds around the site and the hanging baskets looked lovely.

Mabel used the swimming pool quite a bit, and that gave me time to have three games of golf at the Plassey Golf Club, a nice course and quite demanding without the pain, and kept in excellent condition. I was also invited to join a couple of members which was great as a visitor - so a friendly club and the food in the clubhouse was excellent value for money.

We spoke to a number of other caravaners who said they used the site on a regular basis, and it was more like a second home to them rather than a caravan site.

Our 7 night stay went a little too quickly and we were both sorry to leave. Are we planning to return? - well thats a big yes, and have already booked another week in September when the kids go back to school. Cant't wait....

Disliked: We can honestly say, there''s nothing that we disliked.

Liked: We have just returned home after 4 nights at this site. We have used this site several times over the last few years and it’s always impressed us. The site is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean, upon arrival at their new reception cabin which I understand is also going to include a visitor’s centre we were greeted by a member of staff who once confirmed our registration escorted us to our pitch. The facilities on offer cater for young families and the retired alike who simply want that relaxing break or longer holiday. This time we stayed on one of their fully serviced pitches backing on to the Plassey Golf Course which allowed my husband to play a couple of rounds whilst I watched from the comfort of our caravan after which we met up for a drink at their club house. Plenty to do on site including their adjoining craft centre and garden centre, indoor swimming pool and loads of local walks. This is a very impressive site and we can fully appreciate why they have won so many top awards. Finally, look out for their mid week offers which offer great value for money for such a top rated site and thanks to all their staff who made us feel very welcome and could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Well done and see you again soon .

Disliked: We can not faulty this site as it ticks all our boxes.
