Great facilities, very laid-back and a great location.

Liked: We camped in the meadow away from the caravans and were able to choose our spot without having to stick to a designated pitch.
We had a campfire every night and toasted marshmallows.
The children had a fantastic time - plenty of room for cricket & games, and right next to the forest for exporing and hide & seek.

Disliked: Shower blocks were a bit manky, and only four were working.

A wonderful stay at a simple but lovely campsite with great service and real campfires!

Liked: * Simple, open field camping - no arcades / clubhouses etc
* Happy to receive a booking for a same sex group - we were celebrating my hen weekend (although in a very grown up and sensible way)
* Flexible, pick your own pitch policy
* Able to hire fire-pits and purchase logs, kindling and marshmallows for a real campfire experience
* Very friendly staff
* Basic but absolutely fine bathroom facilities
* VERY good price
* Working farm so surrounded by hens and cows
* Wonderful location close to Weybourne, Sheringham and Holt

Disliked: * Lukewarm to cool shower if you leave it too late

Great site with campfire but wear flip-flops in the shower!

Liked: It is a lovely working farm with chickens wandering around. They sell eggs, potatoes, bacon, firewood, kindling and all sorts of other farm-type-basics. I think it is great value for money - we paid £16 a night with no electric. You can stick your tent wherever you like and have a gazebo. We saw groups of people with their tents in a circle plus a number of gazebos. To be honest I don't think they come round and check on anything as we forgot to display our pitch information card thing but no-one questioned us.

There can be a bit of a trek to the toilets and showers but there are plenty of them. However the showers are exceedingly muddy, nothing a pair of cheap flip flops wouldn't solve - you do need tokens which are bought at the farmhouse! The toilet area is where you can wash up your crockery, fill up your water carriers and chuck your rubbish! The best bit is you can have campfires - lovely! This campsite is a drive away from anything but being in the beautiful north Norfolk there is loads to do around! Oh and you can hear the steam trains tooting throughout the day! There is no playground but children always make their own fun at campsites and ours were never bored!

Disliked: Muddy showers!

Lovely, no-frills, very relaxed.

Liked: Being able to have a camp fire; relaxed atmosphere; fresh free-range eggs on sale at the farm house; close to Kelling Heath, Sheringham and Cromer. Above all, it was reasonably priced.

At the time of our stay, firewood was available at £4 per bag and three bags was ample for a two night stay.

Disliked: Only one toilet / shower block which was a bit basic (no soap provided, nowhere to keep clean clothes whilst showering), but, ultimately, you get what you pay for.

There was some confusion over the price of the shower tokens - we were charged £1, but later we got them for 50p (the advertised price).
