Liked: My boyfriend and I stayed in the camping pods for 4 nights, it was a brilliant stay. We were able to park our car behind the pod which was great for unpacking.
Each pod has it's own picnic table outside, a paving stone for BBQ's, and it's own small decking area with canopy with enough space for a small table and couple of deck chairs. The pod has patio style doors which had a key and also bolts from the inside which made us feel very secure, with blinds for privacy, and had a window at the back of the pod with a curtain. The window was very welcoming as it was so warm. There was a tv, lamp, mirror, plug sockets and heater included in the pod as well which were all very nice touches.
The toilet/shower block was only a stones throw away from the pods, along with the scullery and launderette, all very clean which was great. The shower/bath rooms are individual family bathrooms with a toilet in as well and even though the site was busy during our stay, we always managed to get a shower when we wanted.
As it was very hot weather we went to the onsite shop for ice-creams and cold drinks which were reasonably priced, and the shop seemed to stock other popular items at reasonable prices too.
A short drive away from Cleveleys, Blackpool, and Lytham St Annes which we visited the beaches/promenade of all 3, all very nice seaside towns which were emphasised by the gorgeous weather.
All in all we would return to the pods if we were in the area, as they were very convenient and the site was nice and clean.
Disliked: Slight problem was the children from the playground that had climbed onto the wall near our car, we were worried they would fall off the wall and either hurt themselves or damage the car. They were not supervised though so I guess this was more the parents fault rather than the sites.
The shop had run out of ice (which we badly needed for our coolbox due to the heat) and had not stocked back up for the few days that we were there. We did go back to the shop every day to ask whether they had any ice but they did not make any effort to assist us with this.
On checking out we weren't asked if we had enjoyed our stay which made us feel like we were " just another guest" to them. I would have even been prepared to fill out a customer satisfaction survey had they asked, but there was none of this. I am a stickler for excellent customer service though so maybe I am being a bit harsh?!
