A lovely campsite and a great pod. Jemma E. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: We stayed in the camping pod in this lovely campsite for 3 nights over Bank Holiday weekend. The pod was very well equipped with great attention to detail: kettle (and some teabags etc), heater, light, lots of coat hooks etc and had 2 raised sleeping areas which meant we could tidy up all our camping stuff underneath and 2 of us could sleep on our camping mats. We all loved the experience - me and my 2 young children. The pod benefits from a covered terrace so even if it rains you escape the worst of the weather for cooking/sitting out/drinking! The people running the campsite were lovely and friendly too, keen to gain any feedback on our 'poding' experience. They kindly reserved a camping pitch next to the pod for my sister who joined us in her tent. Would definitely recommend and go back. Disliked: Can't think of anything! |

Very enjoyable experience stephanie t. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: We were over the moon when we saw the camping pod for the first time it's just a unique idea and very practical. The size of the pod was good, very clean and filled with things to make our stay more comfortable ie kettle, coffee and tea, cleaning supplies etc. The camp site was very friendly and all the amenities were fantastic. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there is a lovely little pub within walking distance! Disliked: The only thing would be the midges! I know this can't be helped but we had to keep the doors and windows shut in the pod over night and this became very uncomfortable as it was very warm, we opened the window during the night and consequently were bit. It would be good to have some kind of mess across the window to keep midges at bay. |

Liked: site was nice and level. in a good area for attractions, visiting York etc, but the roads are horrendous! so glad we didn't bring the caravan, it would have never made it. toilet block very nice and clean, shame about the abundance of midgies! Disliked: there was no plugs in the toilets for straightners etc. |

Excellent POD and Fantastic site Beverley_S (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Everything about our stay at Studfold was brilliant and we will hopefully return sometime in the future either in our own tent or again to make use of the POD. The POD is brand spanking new (only been used once before our visit) and has more facilities than we were expecting. The POD itself is bright and airy and has the luxury of two pine single bed frames which we pushed together to form a double, it fit our blow up matress perfectly. Inside you'll also find a table with electric kettle and a stock of tea/coffee etc, they even provide a jerry can so you can fill up with water on arrival rather than having to walk back and forth to the water tap when you fancy a brew. The floor is carpeted and there's also an electric heater which soon warmed the POD up, it was really snug despite it being 6 degrees and damp outside. There are spotlights inside the POD and a light outside on the little porch and 6 electricity sockets inside for charging cameras - no use bothering charging your mobile because there doesn't seem to be any reception in the area. Outside there's a picnic table but you will need to bring your own chairs for sitting out on the porch. Also a firebasket outside and a BBQ rack - unfortunately it wasn't BBQ'ing weather for us. The toilet/shower/pot wash area are approx 200 metres away and are the cleanest/brightest that we've come across. Three loos in the ladies, three showers with their own separate changing area so your clothes/shoes don't get wet and one cubicle with a sink and mirror. There are also two communal sinks with mirrors and a separate area with mirror and 2 hairdryers. There was always soap and loo roll and a mop so you could clean up after yourself.....absolutely spotless and fresh smelling every time I went in there (men's were the same according to my OH). Potwash had bowls and washing up liquid and piping hot water. The view from the POD was amazing and it was really quiet and peaceful - we were lucky as we got the whole field to ourselves as the POD section of the field had no other campers at all. Disliked: Can't think of a single dislike, maybe make the check out time a little later but thats not really a dislike purely a suggestion. |

We do listen to any dislikes and try and act upon them. We have reduced the charge for kitchen tents and we have added an extra washing up sink to the facilities.
