For the price this was the best camp site I have every stayed at. Paul A. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The staff all went out of their way to help us with any problem that arose and as ill prepared campers there were a few. Disliked: The only complaint I could think of is that a few smokers bins along the path might help. |

ok site . but you dont get the real picture of the site on pitchup . Kevin P. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The site wasnt full on our stay so was quiet..the site is a clean site no litter.Staff are very friendly. Disliked: The yappy dog near us was annoying,The bar didnt have any real ale on should have been a choice of 3.i think. And prices are a bit steep, couldnt see why we didnt get the grass pitch we booked online, seemed plenty of room while we were there, hate camping on hardcore..Didnt realise all of the static vans until we looked on hawkchurch main site after we booked.probably suit others but not us im affraid. |

Lovely clean site lisa s. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Great camp site, clean toilets with large shower cubicles and hairdryers provided. We were able to pitch our tent in any available space in the bottom field. We used the club which we found cheap for drinks and the entertainer was good. We will be using the campsite again very soon! Disliked: Nothing disliked though would be useful if there were a toilet in the field! |

great site for off-peak camping simon m. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: lovely quiet campsite (no more than half-a-dozen tents at any time when we stayed at end of half-term). Disliked: there would not be enough facilities if the campsite itself was busy (eg, 4+4+1 showers, 2 dishwash basins). |

Would recommend this site. PHILIP H. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Good sized hard standing pitch. Toilets always clean and ample hot water although due to the amount of people at the site over the Bank Holiday Week end this resource did become a little over stretched. The staff were always courteous and helpful. The club offered a decent menu and the meals that we chose were cooked well and the service was good. The price paid for the stay was very fair compared to some of the so called 'better sites' whose prices in high season are as much as double for no extra facilities. Disliked: Nothing to make me put anything in writing. |

Good value will be back again Claire L. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Good value camping even on a bank holiday weekend! Loved having bbq's even if the weather was a bit nippy. Lyme Regis is beautiful and my boys enjoyed another day out at seaton trams. Toliets and showers are keep clean and it nice to have a heated towel rail in them. Liked having a family wash room, kiddies playarea and Bar to go to when the cold weather got to us. Received great customer service and I am sure we will be back! Disliked: Nothing really disliked apart from the cold weather at night but that's the uk for you. Just a small point it is really handy having a family washroom but it would be really good if there was more than one as we did have to que for it.

Thank you for you Feedback, I'm so glad you had a lovely time with us, Sorry it wasnt better weather for you. Look forward to seeing you again at Hawkchurch. Karinda Taylor |

A good base to stay Sinead C_H (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The campsite was a good location for a base, if wanting to explore and see the suronding areas, we were the only people through out the camping fields for the duration of our stay! we wasnt bothered by any one and were left alone it was lovley, the staff were freindly in the shop and helped us out and guided us if needed, the shower block at the top near the entrance were lovley and kept clean, only fault is you had to press the on button every 3-5 minutes, but its all part of the camping experience! Disliked: There was no electric plug sockets and the camping field toilets do need a update! or some tlc!
From the manager...
Thank you Sinead, for your feedback. We have taken you points on board and are working hard to add electirc point to the toilet blocks. We look forward to seeing you again at Hawkchurch. Karinda Taylor |

Liked: I loved have the toliets next to the tent, they was cleaned everyday, the staff was very helpful, made me and my partner welcome when we arrived, it was great that we could use a Barbie, as most places don't allow, lovely location, will come back to this place again, the bar was lovely friendly staff, loved the showers nice and warm, Disliked: There is nothing to dislike at this place |

Liked: The wonderful shower block which was clean, well lit, and spider free! My morning shower was hot and powerful. I dried my hair with the provided hairdriers at the mirrors while my towel dried on the heated towel rail. Luxury! Disliked: Could not find anywhere to dispose of hot ash from our BBQ on the morning that we left. Obviously didnt want to put this in the main bins incase of fire, and didnt want to leave out or throw into the hedgerow, unsure what we were expected to do. |

not bad Christopher S. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Good site not far from the A35 Disliked: well there was 1 problem we could not get Hot water from the shower, the site sent a plumber to fix it the next day but we still could not get hot water from the shower. We had to use the toilet block for a shower bit of a nuisance means getting dressed twice |

Excellent Debbie W. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The static was really lovely. Obviously fairly new as it had a for sale sign on the side saying new 2012. Spacious, clean and everything you could need. Disliked: Nothing. Only comment is that it really could do with a mat in the shower as both myself and my husband slipped on the floor. Only a small thing and the only thing I can say was needed. |

Liked: the people on site were friendley and helpfull Disliked: the club house was not open so we had to travel to get food each night |

Camping near Lyme Regis Michelle t. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The location and views were lovely Disliked: The showers and sinks were not as clean as I would have liked and I don't think relying on people to mop the floor after their shower is enough. |
Facebook Twitter Google Plus |
Liked: Friendly helpful staff, nice clean toilets, lovely views from the non electric tent field, the shop was also well priced. Perfect location for seeing the local area Disliked: No plug sockets in the showers, so as we were staying on the non electric pitches, there was no where to plug in straightners (girls problem!), or just to give your phone a quick charge while doing your teeth, which you would normally find on campsites. Also the shower heads were straight down from the ceiling, so it was hard to have a shower without getting your hair soaking wet, and personally i don't like to have to dry my hair everyday! My husband and i started using the older shower block by the caravans as these had normal shower heads coming from the wall rather than the ceiling. |

Enjoyed our time camping here. Kathleen W. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Food in clubhouse was excellent - a bit of a wait but worth it. Disliked: Family room- shower not working and unable to use adult facilities as water was boiling hot with no option to cool water
From the manager...
Hi Kathleen W. Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately the Family Room shower was out of action over the weekend, as someone accidently snapped the shower hose fitting off. We promptly ordered a new shower unit and I am pleased to confirm the Family Shower room is fully operational again. Jacqui Daniels - Park Manager. |

Overall we had a good time - especially when the sun came out !! Steve M. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Camping meadows were large and had great views from the higher ground. Disliked: The grass was a little long with lots of cut grass lying about. As the weather was wet this made things quite messy around the tent. |

Good apart from showers Juliet W. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The staff, the site, the shop, the view from the campsite. Everything except the showers. Disliked: The showers - in the women's block one of four wasn't working, one was blocked, one had only a dribble of water, and just one worked as it was meant to. An extra hook in each cubicle would be brilliant, too, and wouldn't break the bank. Such a shame - everything else is good but showers are such a vital part of being able to feel presentable and human while camping!

Hi Juliet W. After our conversation on the telephone I really look forward to welcoming you back next Summer. Jacqui Daniels - Park Manager. |

a great stay! paul d. (Solo traveller-male, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: the staff couldn't do enough to help you/make you feel welcome. the site was clean and quiet and the addition of a bar restaurant was good. Disliked: not hawkchurch's fault but it's difficult to get a taxi to go there.
From the manager...
Hi Paul D |
Liked: The size of the site, the toilets and how friendly the staff were. Only went to the club house once, but had a great time. Disliked: The grass was really long in our field and as it was very wet when we there it was a real pain. |
Facebook Twitter Google Plus |
Liked: Camping 1st time with 2 young kiddies, we had a fun time at hawchurch country park. The kids loved the play area which very conviently is opposite the bar, so we could have a drink and watch while they played. Toliet and shower block was clean and pleasant enough with hairdryers, showers were always hot. There is also a family shower room which was handy. We visited seaton trams which my boys loved! We would come back again as would liked to have more time to explore Lyme regis. Disliked: The weather rained alot, but thats uk hols for you! The food was fairly good in the restaurant, however both me and my husband did recieve burnt garlic bread and my son had a glass with lipstick on it. |

Liked: The views: wildflower fields and Dorset/Devon valleys Disliked: The showers - dribble, no pressure, got dirty v easily (why not say no shoes in the shower area?)
From the manager...
Dear Laura_H. Thank you for your lovely comments regarding our park and also for your feedback regarding our shower blocks. We are currently reviewing the difficulties we experienced, during such a busy weekend in regards to water pressure failure. Jacqui Daniels - Park Manager. |

Excellent facilities, shame about the weather Jane B. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Good, fairly flat field to camp in, not too far from hot showers and clean toilets. Site is very well maintained, facilities good, shop reasonably priced. Could do with more showers nearer the tent field, but on the whole very pleased with what we found. Disliked: The people in the tent next to us talking til gone 1 in the morning, when we checked in the curfew times were not really pointed out to us, but we are quiet and read the brochure we were given. The people next door obviuosly didn't, maybe the person who checks you in could make more of the quiet times to each group as this was very disturbing - they woke us up and then talked for over an hour.
From the manager...
Dear Jane B. Thank you for your review which was both informative and honest. I take on board your comments regarding our 'quiet times', and as a direct result of your feedback, my team will be organising some signage down in the camping meadow & talking this through with our guests upon check-in. We all look forward to welcoming you back to Hawkchurch Country Park when you holiday with us again. Jacqui Daniels, Park Manager. |

Okay but will not return Ingrid C. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Shop Disliked: Ladies / family showers were not working properly. Family shower did not have hot water, which was horible with 2 toddlers waiting. The ladies shower was nothing more than a very hot trickle of water. (tried multiple days) Very frustrating.
From the manager...
Dear Ingrid C. Thank you for your feedback regarding our shower blocks. We are currently reviewing the difficulties we experienced, during such as busy weekend in regards to water pressure failure. I hope that perhaps with this in mind you will visit us again in the future. Jacqui Daniels - Park Manager. |

Liked: Beautiful campsite. Lovely location. Very busy during the bank holiday weekend but still not a problem. Good value for money. Disliked: Shower blocks could do with something better than a mop to clean the floor with, maybe a rubber broom like in the caravan block so you can push the water rather than spreading it...
From the manager...
Dear Ian_T. Thank you for your constructive feedback. We agree these would be a great idea and we will be ordering them as a direct result of your comments. Jacqui Daniels - Park Manager. |

First time family of four with dog camping trip steverosetti (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Everything. Nice reasonably level camping field close to toilet block and washing up facilities. Toilets and shower facilities although sometimes busy (peak times) were clean and spacious. Showers very warm, loved heated towel rails. Staff nice and friendly. Site well kept and tidy. Nice bar and clubhouse with reasonable prices. Relaxed quiet atmosphere in a beautiful location. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to return. Disliked: Only small criticism if any, would be that on arrival, you could be given more information in the welcome folder with regards to location of waterpoints (not marked on layout map of site) and itinerary of activities. |

Liked: everything. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome, the bar/club house served great food which was very reasonably priced and great evening entertainment. There were activitys for kids to do in the day but unfortunatly ours didn't get chance to do as we did other things. We will definately be going again. Disliked: nothing. |

HAWKCHURCH CAMP SITE angie246 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The sevice in the bar i.e kevin was lovely he really looked after us and made us feel welcome. The entertainment on saturday night was really good we loved singinng along and having a boogie. The showers and toilets were clean and well maintained and the food we had on saturday night and sunday morning was a bigger improvement on the night and morning before hand. Disliked: the breakfast menu was unfair, you had the traditional breakfast which had one sausage, one bacon, one egg, beans, tom, mushrrom for £4.95 and the kids breakfast was exactly the same just without the mushrooms for £2.95 the traditional one just seemed a bit pathetic to me. Also i found the activities not very well explained and a lil too expensive for waht you do and us been a big family can get quite expensive saying that we did have a go at one (archery) and we did have a laugh with the instructor (mike) |

Wow! what a hidden Gem! stuartmfrost (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: 1. The hot showers. Disliked: The fact that they had a superb facility in the bar and clubhouse that did not offer a hot breakfast. Even if it was open between 08.00 and 10.00 and cooked the breakfast fresh, it would be so welcome on the last day camping, you could pack up the stove the night before. |
