Liked: The site is tidy clean and the animals on the walk are interesting. The rail station is 5 minute.s walk with links to Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne and even London. showers are unisex and though push button the water is very hot a nd plentiful. Very well run site.

Disliked: The cockerels wake up call, but I'm nitpicking.

Liked: As we don't have a car, this campsite was ideal for us as it's very easy (and quite cheap) to get to from London by train, and the campsite is only a few minutes' walk from the station. The petting zoo was a nice touch (particularly for children) with some very friendly pigs and a gaggle of non-aggressive geese. Food for the animals can be bought in the camp shop.

We found the local pub the Heron very welcoming and friendly, with excellent value food and a lovely garden. They also have a quiz night on Sundays.

The links into local towns were very good, with Eastbourne about 10 minutes away by train.

Disliked: There's not much to dislike on the whole, although the one day we did use the showers the water was freezing. I think on other days the water may have been warmer.

Where you camp in the site may also make a difference, as the ducks and geese (and the cockerel) made an impromptu alarm clock. We didn't mind, and we were very close to the lake, so this probably won't affect everyone.
