nice holiday Tracey G. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The campsite was very good and friendly. We had some very wet weather and the pitch got quite boggie. They provided us with boards so we could get out of the tent without sinking into the mud. The site was very full because it was over a bank holiday. It was quite load at night, but its got to be hard to keep everybody to the 10pm quite time when you have so many kids/teenagers on the site. I will be looking to returning to the site. Disliked: Toilets could be looked after a little more. Kids/teenagers made a mess through the night. Not pleasent to go in in the mornings. This was not every morning so it was the people that was staying not the sites fault. |

Liked: I camped alone with my 5 year old son at the broadway house holiday park during august, i must admit i was a bit unprepared. The staff there were fantastic. They were friendly and very helpful. They didn't sell all that I needed in the shop so the lady went out the back, found what i needed and just gave it to me. Another member of staff went out of his way and lent me a table and chairs as well as a camping stove. The facilities there are fantastic. The swimming pool was warm and clean and the toilets and showers were also clean and to a good standard. I will definately return to this campsite in the future. Disliked: nothing |

Camping 3/4 days Natalie K. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: What a fab few days had by all the family. On arrival our check-in was quick and easy, and pitch easy to find. We felt the site was safe for the children to come and go as they please (within reason!) also lots for them to do to tire themselves out....The swimming pool was fab although could have done with a little cleaning/hoovering as lots of leaves at the bottom but this is to be expected as nearly end of the season and outdoors. The ladies showers/w.c's were cleanish morning til night, although husband said mens toilets were a little unclean in the mornings. The bar was a little expensive but ok if your having just 1 or 2, the shop offered everything we needed or had forgotten, overall I would definately recommend this holiday park and look forward to returning next season. Disliked: Nothing! |
Facebook Twitter Google Plus |
Liked: Sense of privacy with the hedged boundaries. Playground simply great - large, lots of climbing things. All made out of rope and wood and even a small trampoline and zip wire! Pool - outdoors. Have to book your hourly slot so nit always accessible. Good for all ages when in. (changing room and toilets badly need updating/ cleaning though.) cafe food ok as expected - everything with chips. Shop reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful despite being very busy. Toilet blocks fine. Outdated but clean. Big bmx track looked great - def need helmets and knee pads. Quiet at night. Ground soft enough to stick pegs in without mallet... Would recommend! Disliked: Nothing really. Smell of the bins. Limited basic menu in cafe. Toilets and changing rooms in swimming pool - need updating... |

Very dissappointed with this site, wasn't at all like it described! JacquiM (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Good dog walk although miles away from where we were pitched and we had to walk through hundreds of tents/caravans to get to it, so now very accessable. Disliked: Not much grass on pitch although we had a super pitch so had to pitch awning on what seemed like concrete. It was far too expensive at over £80 for two nights in our own motorhome and the facilities were awful. The pitch and put no longer existed, there are over 700 pitches and only 2 toilet blocks, which were really not clean at all. The showers were so bad we used our own shower in our motorhome which we have never had to do before. We have caravaned and motorhomed now for almost 20 years and this has got to be the most overpriced place we have ever stayed. |

good site for a one night stay. Bit too busy for our personal liking. andrew_t (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The way pitches were sheltered and not overlooked. Good rotation meant they were not worn at all. Disliked: Nothing in particular. |

A beautiful site with some unexpected drawbacks Alex_w (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: We booked a last-minute one night stay with our small tents in the non-electric field. The site was lovely, and the view from our (very spacious) pitch, idyllic. We enjoyed the amenities of the site - the swimming pool was very welcome, in the summer heat, and our boys really liked the bike track. Disliked: The camping field was really picturesque: however, this rural scene was somewhat spoiled by the constant rumbling of very heavy traffic, on the main road running directly adjacent. The field would also benefit from the additon of a toilet block - it was a VERY long walk from our pitch to the nearest loos/showers. We wondered how families with small children would cope, in the middle of the night. We would have appreciated being made aware of these factors before booking, in view of the charge of £31 per night - not cheap. |

Excellent campsite michael_b (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Excellent campsite with very friendly staff, excellent and well kept facilities, all very clean and plenty of showers, toilets, bins, etc. Mixture of big and small pitches so make sure you speak to reception. Pitches with electric are enclosed with hedges but pitches without electric hook-up just have wooden fencing separating them. Still very good but well worth the extra £2 per night for a better pitch even if you don't want electric. Play parks excellent for young and older kids some great walks in the woods for the dogs and the koi carp pool is great for the kids. Swimming pool and cafe are spot on. Good clubhouse and bar shop, well stocked - all in all a great place. So good we went again the week after and booked again for two weeks' time, so to go three times in a few months is really good. Very well done - great place and great staff. A really friendly place. PS brilliant for taking dogs or kids. Disliked: Can't think of anything to be honest - had a great time. If I really had to moan it would be that it rained one night. Damn the campsite manager for doing a rain dance (yeah like this was thier fault). Excellent place. |

Family weekend away Loulala (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The size of the pitches - enough for our massive eight-person tent. Lots of things for all the family to do. Nice and quite but was before the school holidays. Disliked: The entertainment was a bit cheesey but we didn't go there for that so were not really that bothered about it. |
