Camping pods. Jennifer W. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The site was very quiet and peaceful as it was up in the hill away from the main road. The pods were perfect size, secure, cosy and i loved the decking bit at the front to sit and have a drink or eat your tea if your cooking on site. They were perfect for a weekend break as a young couple and very comfy as they could house a double air bed with no trouble at all. Disliked: The heating was only limited to an hour at a time and then you had to reboot it so throughout the night especially in October it got quite cold. Make sure you take layers!! You might feel that with the site being a 10 minute drive away from the nearest pub to eat is a problem but we didnt find it too much of an issue. |

Exceeded expectations- a very civilised stay Ian W. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Well stocked and (shock) very reasonably priced shop, great bar with kids soft play area. Pods very well kept and warm enough for a wet September weekend with a 4 month old baby. Even had light, heat and power, which we weren't expecting! Disliked: A well manicured site, so if your taste is for slightly wilder and more 'au nature' camping (us before 2 kids!) then this won't be for you. Predominantly caravans at this chillier time of year which I think makes for a less lively atmosphere but haven't been in summer when things might be different. |

Liked: Huge sized pitch, good welcome, excellent toilet/shower area, cosy bar & views. Disliked: Pitch was made up of pea shingle which has weakened our ground sheet. Kids play area is down the hill, out of sight of the main camping field. |

Pleasant Site jayc530 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The showers are clean and well-kept all in the same build as the laundry facilities and washing up area. The pitches are individually marked and are a very generous size. The bar is a great retreat at night for a ‘Quiet’ pint. There is a great children’s play area although this does become rather wet and sodden. Disliked: The tent pitches have all been levelled which is great but in doing so the ground is incredibly hard and full of stones, I must have bent over 15 pegs putting our tent up. A mallet is a must as is some seriously strong tent pegs and plenty of them! |

Liked: I would recommend this site to everyone, young, old, families, couples, groups, absolutely brilliant. We had excellent weather forecast so went a day early, which was no hassle and ended up staying an extra day at the end, which was also no hassle. I can imagine peak season this site is very popular so booking early is a must and will definately be getting my dates in very soon. This site has tries to cover all angles to accommodate everyone. The facilities are excellent and also go that bit further to give you those little extra's for instance, the use of a fridge, freezer, kettle etc., recycling also happens for all to do their bit, first time I have seen that at a campsite lol.. the people that run the site are also very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble.. The site is very aptly named and isnt too large but also pitches are not on top of each other.. Brillian little site has fantastic views also over looking Ullswater and the surrounding hills in the distance.. Am amazed by this little gem of a site.. Very well situated also into Penrith for shopping etc and the motorway network but also ease of access into the lakes, keswick, north cumbria and other fells/mountains if your looking for adventure. Good base if you are spending alot of time visiting various different area's.. Disliked: I couldnt think of anything I disliked about the site, the people or the facilities. |

We stayed in the camping pods at The Quiet Site and couldn't of asked for more. Kate A. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Lovely staff on site were very helpful and friendly. The facilities we miles ahead of other camping pod sites that we had stayed in previously. The atmosphere of the on site pub is brilliant, we also went to the pub down the road and ended it going back to the campsite site as there was no comparison. Disliked: I can honestly say there was nothing we 'disliked', unless you could the weather but let's face it that can't be helped. If you were a couple wanting to get away from kids, the only thing I would say is maybe this isn't the place, as there was a lot of families on the site but I'd hardly say this was a negative. |

Pods, Lovely site hayley1991 (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The site was clean the bathrooms were to a very high standard, there was even baths if you wanted one. The pods were so cute and had a heater and lamp inside them. Plus you can park more or less right next to them so you don’t have your carry your stuff so far. The site had beautiful scenery all around. I would recommend the waterfall walk, 8 miles long, very tough but it was amazing. Disliked: I disliked nothing, maybe the rain when you need the loo in the middle of the night but you need a lot of rain to keep those lakes full. |
