never again cathrine (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Very clean site and washrooms, owners son lovely and very helpful, surrounding countryside and forest walks were beautiful cant fault them, ideal for a mature couple Disliked: First time campers decided to go local, arrived to find staff at first helpful but during the next couple of days very abrupt. When shown our pitch it was in the caravan side on a slope which meant very uncomfortable nights sleep, first night there nearly got crushed to death off a car driven by drunken middle aged women when we questioned the owner about what happen he wasn't even bothered no apology, second night there another sleepless night through children running wild while there parents sat and got drunk. |

Good location, poor service and unhelpful staff chloe2304 (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The location of the site was excellent, in easy reach of the motorway. Disliked: We stayed on this site whilst my partner did the Great North Run. There was some confusion over the pricing, as the rate was advertised as £25 for the Great North Run weekend. We found out when we got there that this was per night! Unfortunately the key swipe system failed on us when we arrived back at the campsite around 10pm at night. This meant we had to park the car in the seemingly unsecure "visitor's" car park and carry all our belongings into the campsite and to the tent in the pouring rain. To top it all off, the card system also denied us access to the shower and toilet facilities - not the best end to the day after a 13.1 mile run! We reported the fault at reception in the morning. The member of staff we spoke to was extremely rude and unhelpful, informing us rather patronisingly that we "should have thought" to go to the clubhouse and ask for another card, or even knocked on some of the neighbouring caravans in search of a warden! We were not informed that the staff even lived on site, and would not have wished to disturb anyone during the night. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the campsite and will book our site for next year's run well in advance. |

One I will avoid graham5319 (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Nothing Disliked: Given a pitch on the side of a hill. Excessive dust caused by vehicles due to poor road surface, noisy due to group of young same sex people allowed on site. They are not helpful and only want your money |
