Liked: Everything About this site!!! What isn't to like?
The camping fields are big and spacious, although try and get in the bottom one. Its nearer to the toilets, playpark, golf club, and it's more sheltered.
The folk in reception and the shop are super friendly and helpful. The first time we went with our new cooker, we thought we'd be able to buy a gas bottle there, but we couldn't, so they lent us one, and guesstimated how much gas we'd used!
Also the shop stocks everything you need, papers, food, beer, wine, sweets, bread, milk etc etc.
The site is really lovely and well landscaped. There loads of small ponds, some of which are for fishing in. The toilet and shower blocks are really well maintained. There's some unisex units which have loads of bathroom cubicles in with a shower, toilet and sink. This is great as it horid having a shower in a campsite then having to get changed in the open bathroom.
There's a 18 hole and 9 hole golf course, and the golf club, which also has an indoor pool in, serves food, and has a full bar. There's some pretty bad entertainment to be seen during the holidays, but it's quite fun really.
The kids playpark is fab, although beware camping too near it unless your into being up late, as it's teenage central after about 9pm!
You're also really close to the beahc and the sea, and there's some awesome days out. Try Cream of Galloway which is about 15 min drive away.
All in all this is our favorite campsite. We've been about 4 or 5 times over the years. it's in a lovely part of the world and is just great! Go there.
