Liked: My family and I decided to join our extended family for a quiet get away a few days after their arrival. First impressions were good, the site was lovely and well maintained. Very quiet though. Perfect if that's what you're after. I was grateful we had plenty of places to visit.

We didn't interact much with the owner, but we did occasionally see him ride round of his mower, no doubt checking up on how things were going. He does however, park his car right in the way of the entrance making it a nuisance to get in and out.

However, we were told we had to move our car to the visitors car park, although we weren't visiting, nor was it obstructing or bothering anyone. This made it very awkward with young children, and i wasn't comfortable leaving my car somewhere i'd never been before where i couldn't see it.

The toilet and shower blocks: Well, what can i say? Basic. Perfect if you don't mind sharing your morning routine with creepy crawlies. I'm pretty sure they hadn't been cleaned throughout our stay. The floor was covered in grass and dirt, the ceiling, lights and top of the cubicles were covered in cobwebs. Not to mention, countless different bugs roaming around. I felt more dirtier after my shower, than i did before i went in. I'd advise people to avoid going in unless completely necessary. Basic standard of hygiene clearly not met. I can't speak for the mens side though. However, the hairdryer was a nice touch.

It's safe to say we had a lovely time visiting Cornwall, it's a beautiful area. We just wont be returning to this site in a hurry.

Liked: This peaceful site is perfect for people who don't like the thumping beat from a heaving club house until 12 o'clock at night. John, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helpful. The site is immaculately kept and well laid out. We've been coming back here for six years and will continue to until the sun starts setting in the east. Perranporth is a scenic walk away and the views are the best in the world. There's a bus service just outside the camp which will take you anywhere and the New Inn is a short stagger away. I heartily recommend this site :-)

Disliked: Having to go home.
