Won't be visiting again Joanna B. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: I Have to say our 8 year old daughter really enjoyed our stay at Steeple bay she loved the kids club, the pool, the play ground Loopy and George. The kids club was ''fantastic'' with plenty of activities for the children.( if you have children aged under 6 you will need to stay with them to help out with the craft projects because of the need to use scissors and glue.) 10:30 am - 12:30 and 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm. kids disco, bingo etc etc. Disliked: The whole unkempt appearance of the touring area. The Showers were really difficult to operate and there are only 2 showers and 1 of those was so cramped you could not get yourself and a child in it. This was a real problem over the weekend with queues and the cleanliness due in most part to over use and no way to clean up.I had to ask at reception for the cleaners to go in and mop clean the floors and to provide toilet tissue. The whole hard standing/electric hook-up touring area is very scruffy, basic and compact however the camping field looked okay. The toilets and showers got very dirty and smelly as the weekend progressed and didn't appear to be cleaned during the day at all. We did not find 'a beach' all during our stay. There was a small patch of shingle at the edge of the estuary that was dirty and scruffy with rubbish strewn all over it and the walk way and in the hedges surrounding it .The park it self is okay and the staff are very pleasant. In my opinion the whole touring/camping area is in desperate need of a spruce up, If the static caravan area of the park is vajazzle then the touring hook-up area is ''the bush'' |

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at Steeple bay we had 2 GSD's and a 9 month old baby. Great for dogs as had long walk around bay. Food on site wasn't to expensive and tasted nice. Not to far to travel would definitely go back. Disliked: Only dislike was couldn't get free wifi in caravan had to be in clubhouse or had to pay extra per night etc. |

Laid-back, stress-free camping! Conrad B. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The clear signs directing you to the various facilities. We arrived long after the main reception closed but the bar staff provided us with our welcome pack, map and tent label and told us to pitch up anywhere we wanted on the tent field! Did'nt really get to use any of the facilities as we were only stopping for one night, but the pool looked clean, the outside play area was full of kids and the bar entertainment was in full swing until around midnight! Disliked: The nearest toilets to the tent field were horrible - I know you can't expect much when your camping but I've seen better festival port-a-loo's! The floors were constantly drenched from the showers (I hope) and there was barely any paper - this was just the men's; my partner said the womens were worse! It's a shame they were so bad, as the rest of the park seems so well organised and maintained!
