Nice site, but facilities not family friendly horsleyjames (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Lovely site, simple and small. Very tidy, and horses to watch! Busy road nearby, but not an issue. Nice place. Disliked: Temporary showers and toilets! They are mentioned in previous reviews, so we knew to expect them. Others have said they were clean, in my experience they were not for the 3 days we were there. And there were only 4 parties camping. No lights is not helpful, and we tried all off the cubicles daily in the hope water would be present. It never was - not good when camping with kids. People resorted to wash on the drinking water tap, which puts you off filling up your drinking containers there! Improvement is needed |

Very friendly owners, a clean level site andreamiller712714 (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The friendliness and helpfullness of the owners, even put wet wellies in their drying room for us. Level site, plenty of space, and very clean. A very nice village pub convieniently just up the road! We stayed for 9 nights, including the bank holiday which did get busier but still plenty of room for everyone. There were 2 showers and 5 toilets (not 3) which were kept as clean as possible,I learnt to open the door then flush when it was busy! Idealy placed for walking, cycling and site seeing. Disliked: None other than having to say bye to Ringo the beetle who decided to share our awning! |

Liked: Clean field with local pub.. it served our purpose. It was close to where we needed to be and the pub was lovely and just a short walk away... we will return as it is in the vicinity we need it to be but would not stay for longer than one or two nights as I need a proper loo and a shower block .. I know I am a wet lettuce!!! Disliked: As everyone else has said the loos were a downside.. they were clean and tidy and the owners did their utmost to keep them as such and were a nice bunch to deal with... |

Liked: Really friendly & helpfull owners, you can have a camp fire, although I expect this will change next session, decent pub nearby, easy access to Wimbourne village with lots of resturaunts Disliked: No shower & toilet block, they have 4 x Porta Loos and 2 x Porta showers which were tricky to get hot water from, the owners did keep the porta loos clean as best they could, they advertise 40 tent pitches, if they did have full capacity those temp toilets and showers are no way enough, Terrible road noise from the A31,big lorries all through the night, the field is right on it, not enough rubbish bins on the site, I counted 4 small ones in total, although they are emptied every morning. |

Liked: Freindly staff. Clean. Good location. Disliked: Very limited toilet and washing facilities. Only two small bins. No washing up facility. |

Lovely Campsite, toilets and showers need to improve Matthew S. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Small, peacefull campsite. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very near a bus stop for people using public transport! Disliked: Portable toilets and showers, they swiftly became unclean. There was only lighting in one of the toilets, taps in the toilets were not working. |

A very Enjoyable weekend Richard T. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The atmosphere was great & the pitching area was large and very well looked after. Disliked: The temporary showers & toilets; the toilets needed cleaning/airing out more often than they did as they really started to smell on the second day & we had to go to the pub to go to the toilet. |

Nice field but very poor facilities Victoria I. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Attractive field/ campsite with a great pub very close by. Location was easy to get to and find. Disliked: There were three porta loos and two porta loo showers which only ever seemed to have cold water. For the number of people camping over the weekend, facilities were a little sparse and basic and the water to wash hands didn't work in the loos. An extra clean through out the day wouldn't have gone a miss either! |

Great site in great location with basic but very clean facilities. Aaron (With friends, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The site was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The location was great for us a short bike ride and we were in Wimborne town centre and was very close to Poole, Bornemouth, Ringwood and Dorchester by car. The toilet and shower facilities were very basic but very clean but we expected this when booking a £14 a night pitch. Overall very good value for money we will definitely return. Aaron (Weymouth) Disliked: Used the pub just up the road for lunch which was a very nice country pub but had to wait over an hour for our food. |

Liked: It was a very peacful break. The field was well maintained and kept clean. The owners were lovely and always very helpful. The location was good for beaches and days out.Pub 5/10 min walk down nice country lane. Price was good Disliked: The toilets and shower were portaloos but we didnt need to use them as we were in a caravan and had our own. Im sure it will be soon sorted as they hadn't been open very long and is still trying it out. Sometimes the rd traffic was annoying, when busy |

A good clean site with very helpful owners Mark D. (Solo traveller-male, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The owners were helpful with direction & pointing out local shops, pubs. The site had a friendly atmosphere with each pitch having plenty of room. The toilets & showers were always clean. Directions to the site were spot on. Many thanks Disliked: The only thing that i disliked was the noise from the main road in the early evenings. However this did not cause any sleepless nights, the rain did that job. |

Liked: The site's friendly hospitable approach. The owner and his team were happy to secure campers the best pitch with options for caravaners and campers to plug-in. Disliked: Toilet and shower facilities were supplied as 'temporary'. This, however, did not affect the pragmatic and functional nature of the port-a-loos or the regular cleaning regime effected by the team. |

Friendly owner, lots of space, well kept grounds Suzanne G. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Friendly informative owner. Grounds were well kept. Disliked: Facilities - the temporary toilets(3) and showers(2) were rather nasty and people had to queue. Experienced in camping around Europe, these facilities were not acceptable. Nearness to A31 made site a bit noisy. |

Great campsite...lovely owners Charlotte_O (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The location was perfect for what we wanted, we stayed for 3 nights the boys had a fantastic time aged 3,4 and 12. We liked the fact it was not commercialised and they could just play outside and feed the horses for real instead of on a computer game. The campsite is new so there is only basic toilet and shower facility's but after speaking to the owners they have a lot of idears and plans instor. Overall a great family campsite. Disliked: The toilets/showers but that's from a girls point of view, they did the job. |
Facebook Twitter Google Plus |
Liked: The space we had to spread out as with 3 kids we don't travel light. I liked the fact there was no extra charge for our gazebo and the pup tent for oldest daughter. The owner was very friendly and helpful, gave great advice for beaches to visit and was very open to suggestion. It is a no frills campsite as they advertise - this is reflected in the great pricing - too many people expect too much for too little. We managed just fine doing our washing up with a little boiled water next to our tent. Yes it's near a main road but if you do research for where you're staying you'd realise it is close to a road. And it really wasn't an issue of noise for us. Overall a great site with space for families. :-) Disliked: Not so much a dislike but the temporary showers were either freezing cold or boiling hot, but the owner was aware and was trying to rectify the situation. |

Friendly owners, well-kept site with lots of local facilities wendyjsadler (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Space, more hook-ups than we expected, horses in next door field, easy to find, walking distance of a pub, dog could run in the field for exercise, very friendly and helpful owners, very reasonable price compared to surrounding area sites Disliked: Needs an extra bin, although they did empty the excess rubbish daily so never a problem, maybe lights by the toilets for night visits! |

It was ok as only spent one night! Debra D. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: I liked the fact I only stayed one night. Disliked: It was off a main road, noisy traffic. No security - in a large corner plot of owner's garden. No purpose built toilet or showers. Two portaloo's, two portable showers with no lighting. No sinks for washing up, just a hose pipe! Bins needed emptying.
From the manager...
We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay, we state in our listing we are a basic campsite, but we are immaculately clean, and have had other reviews to back this up. We are a new campsite and have already added to our toilet/shower facilities and added lighting, the campsite is based in a 5 acre field plus horse paddocks not part of a garden. We feel our location is brilliant being on the doorstep of so many wonderful attractions. Thank you. |

Liked: the owners, they were very friendly and helpful. I liked the fact that it was back to basics,as the campsite just had toilets and showers, no shop but is very near to shopping centre, and a pub. The site had horses in field and all children were welcomed, it was also extremly clean and we had a brilliant time. Disliked: N/A
