Liked: The toilet block and showers were really hot and clean. Liked the music playing in there great idea.
Liked the pitch nice and flat, although a little open, could do with a little more shrubbery maybe.

Disliked: We just new to motor homing, and found that the larger sites such as this, are not as personal and a little commercial for our liking, The smaller sites are a little more friendly and you get to meet the site owners and chat etc
We enjoyed our stay and the walk down to Howarth was lovely..

Liked: Being keen tent campers we only discovered of the Pod's existence via pitchup.com. We wanted to hedge our bets and head out camping during September without the worry of being washed out or blown away by Autumn's early arrival.
Upwood holiday park seemed to fit our requirements to explore the nearby Yorkshire Dales. We opted to experience the Mega Pod.
The site is located high above Oxenhope, overlooking Haworth. The site itself has a mixture of residential and touring pitches. The reception staff were courteous and professional and quickly directed us to the Mega Pod 'village', consisting of 5 pods.
What a fantastic treat for our 3 day stay! It has a Scandinavian style and feel. Built here in the UK. Heated with a double bed, sofa bed, tv/dvd, toilet, kitchenette with microwave/sink/fridge, table, chairs with 2 French doors that open onto a large patio area at the front giving a panoramic view of Bronte country. It has a cabin quality and is an ideal way to extend the camping season right through the winter. Parking is no problem, at the side of each pod.
The park has a very modern shower block located closeby which wouldn't have looked out of place in a brand new sports centre. Spacious, stylish and robust describing the block perfectly.
The park, despite its elevated position, has a very secure and sheltered design to it, with vegetation strategically forming sheltered tent and touring areas. Haworth is just a short 5-10 minute drive away. The park also has a bar with regular entertainment.
Upwood is a great park in a great location on the doorstep of both the Bronte country and the Yorkshire Dales with all of their treasures that truly sets the benchmark in a high quality camping experience.
We absolutely loved the Mega Pod experience. A real alternative to keen camping folk and B&B frequenters.
B&Bs .... look over your shoulders the Mega Pods are coming!
