Stone Food and Drink Festival

Around 10,000 people descend on Stone for this annual celebration of Staffordshire's finest food producers, breweries and restaurants.
Bring plenty of shopping bags: there are more than 60 stalls at the Farmers' Market on the high street, or you can pay a fiver to get into the 'Gourmet Marquee', where you’ll find another 70 artisan producers offering local and international foodstuffs, tastings and demonstrations, plus quirky kitchen and tableware. The marquee also hosts the Titanic Brewery's beer festival, plus a range of entertainment and live music, including kiddie rides to keep the children amused.
Pick up culinary tips and innovative recipes at the free demonstrations from local chefs, including cheeky 13-year-old wunderkind Jack Taylor, who last year entertained the crowds alongside the Hairy Bikers.
Or you could try out a roving meal experience at one of the popular 'Manger a Trois' events (three courses at three different restaurants); or book yourself into one or both of the real ale trails: the first is a pub crawl around the town centre, the other a 'minibus odyssey' around the best inns to be found in the outlying villages.
