If the pics of the mountain setting of Camping Bella Austria don't make you book a stay here as soon as you can (and if not, why not?), the activities on and around the site surely will. Set in the mountains of Steiermark, Bella Austria is within easy reach of several swimming lakes, and is among the mountain and forest paths for cycling (hire a bike from reception). Facilities on site include a heated lagoon pool with shallow waters, open over the summer months; a playground, and a sports area for football and volleyball. A variety of activities and entertainment running throughout the week during high season: horse riding, paragliding, arts and crafts clubs and activities for kids are all on offer. The site facilities block has free hot showers, baby changing facilities and disabled access.

Liked: Nice place, good playgrounds and pools, sauna option (although they only rented it out for groups, so you had two saunas for a couple, which was unnecessary and not that environmentally conscious).

Disliked: all the perfect activities in the region were located at least 25 min away by car. the busses had no good route to get to anything.

Liked: Location of camping site was amazing. Close to mountain and river. The toilets and shower area were super clean. Our pitch was close to play area. Swimming pool was fun but afternoon was better as water would be little warmer compared to morning. Night view was beautiful with plenty of stars.

Disliked: The car has to be parked about 5 to 6 feet below the pitch. So it was a surpise for us. It would have been easy for us if the car could be parked right in the site. There were too many slugs around the tent in the camp site.

Disliked: A little run down, in need of a general refurbishment. Toilet blocks had a damp musty smell due to lack of ventilation. Wi-Fi and mobile phone reception virtually no existent. I left a day early.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. Our sanitation building is cleaned twiece a day, 7 days a week, so I am sorry that it was still below the standard that you expected. We offer free WiFi which is powered by a 5G connection/landline hybrid and provides around 75mbs per second, we have a room and outside seating area dedicated to this, as well as the WiFi covering the swimming pool and restaurant areas for your convenience. Being in a mountainous region, some phone networks do not have very good coverage, but some have 5G.

Disliked: Sanitäranlagen Katastrophal !!!🤦‍♂️🤢🤮 Die Rezeption ist von 12:00-13:30uhr nicht besetzt! Das steht aber leider nicht auf der Buchungsbestätigung was ja im Prinzip kein Problem wäre wenn nicht das "beziehen" des Stellplatzes ab 12 Uhr angegeben würde!!! Wenn man nun so anreist das man ca.um 12uhr da ist um noch was vom nachmittag zu hab dann muss man 1,5 stunden totschlagen, was für mich doch sehr ärgerlich war zumal wir nur einen kurzurlaub gemacht haben!😡😡😡 Also ich werde diesen Campingplatz auf keinen Fall mehr besuchen!!!

As well as the cycling all around its surrounds, Camping Bella Austria is also conveniently set near the Eselsberger seven hiking routes and has climbing and mountain biking activities easily accessible in the vicinity. Highly active sorts can slide along to nearby St Lambrecht for the Grebenzen Summer Sleigh Track: spectacular views come with the sleighing. Within a short drive are several good options for days out, such as the Günstner waterfalls and Etrach lake, 12 and 23 kilometres away respectively, and the small Mur riverbank town of Murau 18 kilometres away, known for its castle, Murtalbahn steam train and annual festival Shakespeare in Styria. Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Entertainment and activities are available between 20/06 and 04/09.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m..

Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
