Daisy Bank Touring Park

Favourite
From £20 (for 1 night, 2 adults)   Why not enter some details and get an accurate price?

After a bit of peace and quiet? Uncrazy Daisy Bank Touring Park takes adults only, and is tucked far from the madding crowd amidst heavenly hills on the Wales-Shropshire border.

The cosy glamping pods and hardstanding, serviced pitches enjoy free wifi and luxe bathroom facilities, and there’s a shop which sells homemade local tucker, plus a large, enclosed exercise area for Fido.

Relaxation is the name of the game here, so the on-site entertainment is low key: free pitch and putt, and a book and DVD library. Many guests spend their time exploring the seductive scenery surrounding the site, walking along Offa’s Dyke path, Kerry Ridgeway, the Severn Way, or in the Shropshire Hills (Long Mynd and the Stiperstones are both nearby).

Nearby attractions and activities

There are some interesting towns round and about: Bishop’s Castle, three miles from Daisy Bank, boasts two real ale breweries; Ludlow, fast gathering a reputation as a top foodie destination; Montgomery, for castle ruins, cobbles, and old-fashioned shopping; or Telford, where visitors can eye up Ironbridge and check out some of the many museums and tourist activities.

Other attractions include the red kite feeding centre at Rhyader, National Trust’s Powys Castle and gardens, and the coastal resort of Aberystwyth, a (very scenic) hour’s drive away.

Liked: The camping pod was great, so much easier than putting up a tent! It was also really useful to have a bbq, chairs and table provided too. The park is really peaceful and relaxing. The toilets and showers are the best I've ever seen at a campsite. The park is quite a distance from any pubs or restaurants which was no problem for us as we enjoy walking anyway but worth knowing if you ...

Liked: The pods were amazing and bigger than expected

Disliked: The campsite was quite out of the way of things to do except walking, not ideal for younger generation with not much pubs or restaurants nearby.

Liked: As a seasoned camper I wasnt sure if I would like using the POD but they are excellent- why did we not think of them before. Took everything but the tent but didnt really need it. This is a fantastic holiday site, friendly and well run. would highly recommend this site. The site is secure, well spread out and facilities are excellent, grounds and facilities are highly looked after. It being an adult only site ...

Disliked: wi-fi a bit bit hit and miss and no mobile signal on site- but maybe thats a plus!
