The camping field at Gwalia Farm is extensive and situated in a wild area near the lake with flattened patches for pitching tents. The area has amazing wildlife including orchids, dragon and damsel flies, buzzards, kites, frogs, newts and toads and sometimes night jars, glow worms and even the occasional otter.
The site has its own (untreated) springwater supply and campfires are permitted. Bags of firewood are available for sale.
There are no showers, but there is a small lake which you can swim in (you should understand that wild swimming can be dangerous and we don't offer any safety equipment or supervision). Cars are parked a short walk (minimum 10m) from the field.
The site is a quiet, peaceful haven. Flattened grass pitches are surrounded by wild grass, flowers and trees. Dogs are allowed but this is a farming area - they must be under control and on leads at all times. We do not allow amplified music/stereo systems to spoil the tranquility of the site.
No showers available at the campsite.
Currently the only water at the property is untreated spring ater which we must label as 'not drinking water'. You may wish to bring drinking water/ a filtration system; alternatively the water is safe to drink if it is boiled first.
