At Wye Glamping the emphasis is on relaxing and enjoying the simplicity of being close to nature in comfort and style. Take a stroll through the countryside, splash in the stream and read a book whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Our yurt and three bell tents all sit on wooden platforms and have their own separate camp. All enjoy stunning views of the Black Mountains, and have the stream running alongside.

A private kitchen hut is provided fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay, and there's also a compost loo, picnic table, fire pit and deckchairs.

A small selection of games, books and toys can also be found inside, to help occupy the little ones (and yourselves) on those rainy days.

A luxury shower room is at the entrance to the glamping field, providing you with a shower and a flushing toilet.

We are situated in a quiet spot on the edge of a small village which has a pub, and a couple of small play parks, about four miles from Hay on Wye (known as the town of books and home to the famous literature festival) and 10 miles from Brecon, both picturesque market towns, perfect for a leisurely afternoon of boutique shopping!

Sitting on the very edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, we are also well located for access to many activites including walking, pony trekking, canoeing and star gazing to name just a few.

Nearby attractions and activities

Forestry walks, cycling, canoeing, pony trekking, adventure farm, water sports, mountain biking, shopping, star gazing (Brecon Beacons National Park was recently awarded dark sky status), den building, paddling and a pub serving food only one minute walk away.

Directions

Get directions

Once you reach Velindre:

If you are arriving from the south (past Brecon or Abergavenny), the entrance to the old estate yard is on your left immediately after the sign for Felindre, as you enter the village.

If arriving from the north (Hay-on Wye or Hereford), we are just past the pub (Three Horseshoes) next to the play park. The entrance is wide and surrounded by a wooden fence.

Drive over the cattle grid and follow the private road around to the right, and you’ll then see a big green agricultural shed on your left. Turn left just before the shed, and this will take you into our car park.

The yurt and bell tent are a short walk from here along a gravel path. There will be a trolley to transport your bags to the camp.
