Seriously good sunsets, serene countryside and a relaxed, friendly vibe - Talywerydd Touring and Camping Park is perfect if you’re looking to escape the mayhem of modern life with a return to simple pleasures.
With glorious views over the undulating Ceredigion coastline, the site offers good essential amenities and is only 600 yards from a renowned farm shop selling scrummy picnics, home-cooked ready meals and hampers of regional goodies.
There are no large or single-sex groups here, and guests will find the pace is delightfully slow, although there are plenty of options to liven things up in the surrounding area. Fidos are welcomed too (up to two per pitch, no dangerous breeds); there’s a dedicated doggie exercise area, but elsewhere on site they’ll need to stay on the leash.
Nearby attractions and activities
Gentle - and genteel - pastimes abound. The Ceredigion Coastal Path offers great walking; there are glorious beaches on your doorstep, including the Penbryn National Trust Beach two miles away, Llangrannog, Tresaith, Aberporth and New Quay; plus trout and coarse fishing lakes and golf courses nearby. The horticulturally-inclined will find no shortage of gardens to visit in the immediate vicinity, as well as the National Botanical Gardens of Wales under an hour away, and there are several museums, focusing on subjects as diverse as wool, toys and combustion engines. Or you could try out life as a Celt in one of the replica roundhouses at the Iron Age fort museum in Castle Henllys.
Nearby Cardigan boasts a coastal farm park inhabited by local porpoises, seals and dolphins as well as (less local) prairie dogs, wallabies and Vietnamese pigs. There’s another wildlife centre in a beautiful river setting in Cilgerran, or if you’re feeling flighty, try the butterfly and rainforest centre at Felinwynt, or the Honey Farm in New Quay, where there are exhibitions exposing the insides of working hives, and a meadery offering plenty of samples.
Live wires can try their hand at a wide range of action sports, including surfing, canoeing, paintballing, scuba-diving and even skiing (on the nearby dry slope). For pubs, shops and other services, Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn are both less than eight miles away.

Liked: The warm and friendly welcome and the proximity to the beach. The beautiful location and amazing sunset. Spotting dolphins at night whilst drinking a glass of wine was pretty spectacular! I enjoyed the simplicity of the site and the size of the pitches. I also enjoyed the fact that the owner guided us to the pitch on his bike! Inspirng! Disliked: The weather that sandwiched a beautiful sunday and felt that the toilets and showers needed a facelift! |

Absolutely gorgeous location and with all you need in terms of facilities. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and I would definitely return. meloddy (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The location is excellent, very close to the lovely Tresaith and lots of lovely other beaches. The views from our pitch were stunning. Disliked: The rain, but nothing can control this obviously! |

Liked: Clean showers and toilet blocks, well fitted campers kitchen with only the essentials to have an enjoyable stay. Superb location which makes an excellent basecamp for travelling around the West Welsh coastline. Views from the campsite itself are potentially amazing. Flat tent field with pretty good drainage and fresh water in all the fields for topping up. Overall; just what we wanted and can I say; the owners are loveley; friendly and warm without strict ... Disliked: The dog exercise field is a little small and we was pitched quite a long distance from it. Maybe dog owners should be pitched in the upper field? Lower field hedge could do with lowering to improve the views from the tent. |

One week camping Deborah B. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Almost everything about this site. It was peaceful, scenic, clean and tidy. Very friendly owners. We had a perfect pitch for very affordable fees and we will definitely be returning. Disliked: Not a dislike as such, but it would be beneficial if there was a small shop on site. It didn't really affect us as we were out and about every day, so managed to pick up what was needed - this may be more difficult to do without your own transport. |

A good base for exploring Cardigan Bay Peter F. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The site is only a short distance from the main coast road, making it easy to travel further afield, whilst still remaining within easy striking distance of the beaches. The hilltop location means a wonderful view in good weather, but it could get a touch rough if windy. Paying 50p a time for the showers means that the 3-showers-a-day queue doesn't seem to materialise there, as has been the case everywhere else we've ... Disliked: Coming home. |

Liked: The campsite is great, lovely and peaceful, with great sea views. Pitches were very good, no stones! Owners very friendly and helpful, lovely dogs! Plenty of space for kids to run around...We had great weather and went to New Quay beach both days...great farm shop at the end of the lane. Also great pub called The Ship not too far which is right on the beach and does great sea food.... We will ... Disliked: Nothing really to dislike the campsite has everything you could need. |

A very good site highly recommended Wayne F. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: the choice of which way you could pitch your caravan and the layout of the site. The toilets and showers were spotless at all times. Showers cost 50p but was worth the cost, piping hot water from both showers and washhand taps. The cost of the pitch was very reasonable, and there is a lot to do in the area. Disliked: Nothing |

AMAZING!!!!!!! aib-asf (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: What a great site, total peace and quiet for a proper relaxing break away from it all. Wonderful sea views and stunning sunsets. Owners couldn't be more helpful and friendly. You wake up to beautiful sunlight and lovely calm ocean. Some of it felt like a dream come true! It was shiny, everything was so clean! So much better than our house. There is also a play area for our children to play in ... Disliked: The forecast wasn't very good when we got there, the children were practically shivering! It was a good experience though, on the whole. |

Liked: We've just come back from a week at Talywerydd Caravan Park and we've had a great/relaxing time, even the weather was kind to us! Enjoyed our stay - it was our first experience of camping on a commercial site in UK. Alison B. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Good convenient location and nice quiet site. The camper's room was useful with the kettle and washing up sink and tumble drier. Disliked: Disappointed to find that you needed 50p to have a shower. Is this the norm? I have only camped on the continent before and not come across this before now. |

Very lovely set-up and atmosphere. Luke M. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The facilities and location were fantastic, beautiful views over the sea were stunning. Very friendly park owners also added to the experience. Disliked: we had no such dislikes, possible suggestions could be having a mini shop on site with cash machine, but this wasn't really an issue as there was a very convenient garage just up the road. |

Overall a nice experience. Jack R. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The grass areas are well kept and easily support all vehicles even in heavy rain. The welcome was warm and friendly. Very relaxed. Disliked: The washing facilities were coupled with a kids play area in a poorly vented very low ceiling area. |

Liked: Loved the big space for the kids to play together in the middle of the field. Clean shower blocks and loos. Campers kitchen where there was a microwave, toaster and kettle as well as a freezer, washing machine and iron, was clean and tidy. There were also board games for the children to play. Brilliant. Microwave was a nice touch especially for us campers in tents on wet evenings, were able to at least get ... Disliked: Could perhaps do with more bin facilities. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever!!! |

Site booking terms and conditionsPlease note
Strictly a family and adult couples only site. Young or single sex groups are not accepted. Group bookings must comprise a recognised organisation or association.
Showers are 50p coin metered. We do this for a few reasons:
- It allows us to keep our pitch prices lower...there's no such thing as a 'free shower': the cost is merely incorporated into a more expensive pitch price. Our way you only pay for what you use.
- It keeps queues to a minimum. People are less inclined to pay for 30 minute showers!
-When the site is busy, it allows the boiler to keep up with the demand for hot water.
Where possible, family groups will be assigned pitches adjacent to one another, if not as near as available.
Check availability at Talywerydd Touring and Camping Park…

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us and many thanks for your positive review.
