General

  • Small family-run park three miles from Cardigan
  • Luxury heated pool, spa and sauna
  • Pampering treatments available

It's all mighty pretty – and there's a luxury heated pool, spa and sauna open in summer here too. Get yourself pampered among the treatments offered at Brongwyn Touring Caravan and Camping Park, in a luxurious countryside location in west Wales and close to the cracking beaches of Cardigan Bay for fishing, coastal walks, swimming and golf.

Although there's a lot on offer on site, Brongwyn is a small family-run park with an easygoing and peaceful vibe. Its amenities are spotlessly maintained and include loos, free hot showers, hairdryers and a toilet for disabled guests. There's also a woodland walk, two play areas and an indoor games room.

The market town of Cardigan is three miles away to pick up supplies and the local shop is about 15 minutes' walk away.

Please note

Dogs are not allowed in the accommodation units.

Facilities/activities including the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, salon and gym are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

The indoor swimming pool is open between 30/06 and 31/08.

Single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

We booked, we paid, we went, we left without pitching our tent. One very tired site. Very disappointed.

From the manager...

What a disappointing and negative review! As you didn't show up, or check in, or call us, and were not allocated a pitch - we wonder if you may have gone to the wrong park? Our park is regularly inspected by the Visit Wales quality assurance team and been graded 4 Stars in accordance with the requirements of The British Graded Holiday Parks Scheme.

Everything was great at this site. The owners were lovely and friendly, facilities were great, clean and well maintained, and the pitches were good size nice and flat water taps everywhere. Also we took advantage of the use gym, sauna, steam room and the swimming pool they have on site. The use of these was an extra cost but was still worth every penny. Very happy we choose to stay here we will be going back!

The site is attractive with good size pitches and good separation from neighbours. Facilities are very clean and in good condition. Situation is great, very quiet but close to Cardigan for shops etc.

    Disliked:

Some advertised facilities were not available when we were there.

From the manager...

Thank you for your kind comments - we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and would like to return another time - I am so sorry that we couldn't arrange a salon treatment for you while you were here - as I explained - our poor therapist had been hospitalized in Russia which delayed her return - and because of the World Cup she couldn't get a flight home and was stranded there! So I do apologize again that the salon treatments were not available during your stay - I know you made good use of the pool though - so hopefully that went someway towards making up for your disappointment. We look forward to seeing you again and thank you for your review!

    Very clean & peaceful campsite.
Showers were lovely & warm, better than alot of campsites ive been too.
Toilets & showers were kept clean.
Swimming pool looked nice but as the weather was nice we never needed it.
Graham was really helpful with his suggestions of where to go in the area.
He gave us some maps to take away with us. We were only there for 3 days but managed to see loads.
    We visited:
Mynt which is great for walks & a lovely beach. We even got to see some seals when we were at the top of the hill.
Penbryn Beach:my favorite of all the places we visited, beautiful walk through a woodland with a waterfall to a lovely beach. Only down side to this beach is there's no toilet so go to the toilet at the car park before you set off through the wood.
New quay:great for dolphin spotting on the pier wall & watching the sun set. There is also a fab fish & chip shop called the lime & crab.
Poppit Sands:sand dunes, great waves for the kids to play in,there are also life guards on this beach.
One last recommendation,go for tea at the pizza tipi cambrian quay.

    Disliked:

No wifi unless you stand right by the reception area but I see that as a plus

    No complaints,all good!

From the manager...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a great review about your recent stay at Brongwyn - We are happy that you enjoyed your holiday experience with us and managed to see so much of our lovely coastline is just a few days! Local attractions

As it's Cardigan, get prepped to spend a lot of time on beaches and on coast. The nearest beach is Mwnt three miles away, a cracking little cove now managed by the National Trust and where dolpins are often sighted from the sands, but within easy reach you'll also be able to find Aberporth, Tresaith, Penbryn, Llangranog, Poppit, Gwbert, Newport, Newquay, Cwm Tydu...

This is walking country too, whether your tastes tend towards countryside, woodland, hills or coast: inland, wander among the west Wales villages, the Preseli Hills, around the country park and reservoir of Llys y Fran reservoir and the River Teifi valley; on the coast, tramp the coastal paths of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire National Park for dazzling sea views.

Heaps more indoor and outdoor activities and attractions are within driving distance: just a few suggestions are Folly Farm, Cardigan Golf Club, Oakwood Theme Park, Theatr Mwldan, the Small World Centre, Teifimania Indoor Play Centre, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, the National Trust's Llanerchaeron, Cilgerran Castle, Welsh Wildlife Centre, Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve, Dolaucothi Gold Mines, St Dogmaels Abbey and Coach House, the Y Felin water mill, Iron Age hill fort Castell Henllys, Dyfed Shires Horse Farm...

More? Particularly recommended by the Brongwyn Touring Caravan and Camping Park team are the National Coracle Centre and Cenarth Flour Mill, Bro Meigan Gardens, Teifi Valley Steam Railway, the National Wool Museum, West Wales Museum of Childhood, Curlew Weavers Woollen Mill, Internal Fire Museum of Power and the Gwersyll Llangrannog Activity Centre for dry skiing and snowboarding.
