Whether it’s baking hot or glazed over with rain clouds, you’re unlikely to find yourself killing time at Kiln Park: there are a huge range of things to do on site, the glorious sands of Tenby South Beach a mere frisbee fling away, and plenteous Pembrokeshire attractions on the doorstep.
The kids will go potty over the slides, inflatables and fun watersports in the indoor and outdoor pools, and the action-packed children’s club sessions to tempt all ages and tastes, from sporty to arty, wildlife buffs to wannabe chefs, or even those who just want to run away and join the circus...
Guests can stroll straight onto the gorgeous beach from Kiln Park’s leafy, manicured grounds, or saunter along the Pembrokeshire National Park coastal path for some spectacular seascapes.
Kiln Park’s sports facilities include tennis, archery, football, cycling, fencing, bowling and crazy golf, and sailing and a variety of other watersports are on offer at a neighbouring Haven site, Lydstep Beach. A moderate fee is charged for some sessions (although there’s plenty of free fun) - you’ll find it cheaper to buy an Activity Pass before arrival.
For rumbling tums, family-friendly food is served throughout the day in the smart Mash and Barrel lounge bar, and there’s also a Burger King and Papa John’s pizza on site.
The fun continues into the night, with a busy entertainment schedule in the ShowBar, from kid-friendly shows and games in the early evenings, to tribute bands, dancing, stand-up comedy and variety shows later on - all included in the price of your holiday.
Nearby attractions and activities
There are lots of attractions just a couple of miles away, from the relaxed to the adrenaline-boosting: bumper boats, paintballing, and tree-swinging high ropes are among the options at Heatherton World of Activities; at Manor House Wildlife Park, the walkthrough lemur and wallaby enclosures allow visitors to get up close and personal with some furry friends; and Begelly Park has 12 acres of immaculate grounds, including Japanese, informal and water gardens.
Stuck for present ideas for friends and family back at home? Pick up some perfume and chocs from the Cistercian monks at the priory on beautiful Caldey Island - just hop on one of the regular boat trips from Tenby harbour.
Families are guaranteed a jolly day out at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, one of the area’s top attractions: nostalgic types can relive their youth at the undercover vintage fun fair, with its chair-o-planes, giant helterskelter, carousels and mighty Wurlitzer; the zoo has a great range of animals, including giraffes, tapirs and armadillos; and there are tractors and combine harvesters to clamber on, plus cuddly farmyard friends, in the Jolly Barn.
Dino-fans will have a roaring good time at the Dinosaur Park, where there are life-sized moving dinosaurs lurking in the woods, and activities for all ages, from disco boats to frisbee golf, an indoor adventure play area and a dino-themed lunch spot.
Got nerves of steel? Head to Oakwood Theme Park in Aberdare, which counts “Vertigo” and “Drenched” among its 60 screamingly good rides.
Those keen to explore the local countryside could catch the Gwili Railway for a leisurely steam through scenic Carmarthenshire, past forests, meadows and the River Gwili, or watch the salmon leaping at cascading Cenarth Falls, near Cardigan. The historic flour mill alongside the falls houses the National Coracle Centre, which has examples of ancient craft from around the globe.
Another picture perfect spot is Carew Castle and Tidal Mill. The glorious castle sits alongside an idyllic 23-acre millpond, and the restored tidal mill is one of only a handful in existence across the UK.

Super location and great for children Simon L. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Excellent child friendly and the cleanest campsite i have yet to visit. Situated close to the beech with plenty to do on site and nearby. Disliked: The rude and self opinionated male warden with the gold tooth. We had 8 people in our visit that included 2 x under 2 year olds. He approached me regarding our 2nd vehicle that was parked on our pitch and of 4 x pitches in that block only 2 were occupied. He rudely insisted that I move the vehicle giving the reason as being "Gypsey like" in appearance. I replied that we were all going ... |

Very clean and friendly site harle1 (Mature couple, 1 review, 7 photos)
Liked: The layout of the site. The Pitch managers were very helpful and very friendly on arrival and continued to be throughout the stay.Very helpful with places to visit or the nearest big supermarket. Disliked: The pool was a little small, although nicely laid out, the Mash and Barrel only stocked very limited ales, if they ever got delivery. |

Liked: The cleanliness of the facilities. The layout and spacious nature. Closeness to the beach. Swimming pools were great, kids loved them especially the slides. Disliked: Nothing really. A shame there is not a communal changing room at the indoor pool as its a bit tricky with young children. |
